Many things can help prevent most diseases. Exercise, fresh air, getting enough Vit D-k. Our brains need exercise ! Start using your non dominate hand to do tasks. Reading, studying, doing puzzles. 😊
While taking care of my mom's whose in mid stage dementia, I recently began having symptoms, losing things, forgetting to pay bills, missing appointments. I was diagnosed with early onset dementia/Alzheimer's at the age of 57. Seeing my mom's struggle, and knowing that this is my fate is terrifying 😢
I need to get checked out because I have signs at 53 but scared to death because my grandmother had it. I won’t live like that or have any of my family be burdened with me. This is just me but I would leave before it takes me
Wow, he sounds really good I don't see any mental decline. Typically people I see with Alzheimer's disease are far worse off and have huge problems and struggles. Makes me wonder how this diagnosis was done at his age.
He would have difficulty understanding and completing simple tasks. Unable to fill out paperwork at the doctor, unable to read a clock, repeating the same thing over and over, and getting lost in what should be familiar areas.
This is so scary never heard of this year's ago now s many r getting it younger my mother in law has it and my mom both eighty six mom started five years ago mother in law has had it ten years me and hubby r scared we will get it
This is very interesting. I had the misconception that people with Alzheimer's are unaware that they are having problems and that it's other people who notice. He's the first person I have heard of who realized himself that something was wrong. I always believed the conventional wisdom of "if you think you have Alzheimer's then you probably don't".
My boyfriend of 5 years just turned 41 and in the last 5 months I don't recognize him 90-95% of the time anymore, some signs point in the direction of early onset Alzheimer's one of them is the denial of any possibility other than his belief that he is well, nothing is wrong with him and I am the enemy.
My dad had Alzheimer’s and was very aware something was wrong. He’d see a commercial about the disease and ask me if I thought maybe he had that. I was in full denial up until it was obvious. It’s painful to watch someone know something’s off.
Unfortunately it’s not true I knew something was wrong couple years ago but insurance wouldn’t approve Cat scan n pep test , 2 months ago after pushing my doc finally got approved mind u I’m 45 n unfortunately it’s early onset some of us are very aware of our memory n habits it was small but noticeable to only me my wife just blew me off but I knew something was wrong man I wish I was wrong , I’m still me n completely alert but the scariest part is when will I not be n will I know it thank you for letting me share ,

Probably the food we are marketed. We are letting multinationals destroy us with their own rules to make money. This was unknown in younger people in the 60 s 70 s 80 s.
Too much processed food. Sugar in everything. Sugar is horrible. Not enough exercise. I don’t even see kids playing outside anymore. And Americans are now 47% obese ! That’s horrible ! Eat real foods, stay in a healthy weight and get outside and power walk for 10 min.
We have got to find a cure for this horrific disease!!!! 😭😭😭
Yessss so many lives lost and still being taken because of this killer.

The wife is incredible. She has a huge amount in her plate. I hope she is taking care of herself.
Life is just cruel for some people. I'm 79 with some conditions but this humbles me.

There are some medications to treat Alzheimer’s now. Can’t reverse damage but can slow down the progression.
