My precious 19 year old just completed his Crucible and Friday he will graduate.....my darling is a United States Marine....his dream is complete and as proud as I am, now my worst nightmare begins.....I Pray My Father's Heavenly Angels protection over him. Pray for our military and their families....God Bless America 😞💗🙏🇱🇷
Ma'am. Your son is one of the proud few. But you will find he has millions of brothers and sisters who will always have his back. Your sacrifice is no less than those of us that served and I give you a big salute and a hug. Thanks moms
Yes ma'am. The prayers are being said 3 times a day, every day. May God bless you and keep your precious son safe.❤🙏
Semper Fi - Marine Mom --- give him an Ooorah
My father is a 30yr retired E-9 Marine. So from this Marine's son to yours, Semper Fi!
To say I'm proud of my father, is an understatement. As I'm sure you're more than proud of yours.
Phyllis as a fellow American I pray for his safety and thank you so much for your family's sacrifice. We are so proud of your son!
Thank you for this reaction. All too often, people focus on the morality of the war in general, and yet they forget these wars are fought by soldiers, soldiers who are often overlooked to focus on whether people AGREE with the war. Whether you agree with the war or not, these people wrote a check to the USA, it’s value up to and including their lives. If for no other reason than that, our warriors deserve our respect.
Such a powerful song. Thank you to all veterans everywhere.
Tracing my Ancestry I have many that fought from Revolutionary War to present day. My brothers dad was 17 when he stormed Normandy. He came home changed. Many details on Ancestry about wounds and deaths. Thank you to all who have served
how can anyone downvote this , they have no soul
@Robert Docholliday: Unfortunately those people are the same ones that want to see our country fall.
Again, Thanks Mike and Salute To All My Fellow Veterans 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅
U. S. Army 93-07
Thank you for your service
Thank you for your reaction and tears. I was right there with you! USAF Vet 74-80.
Mike you are a true and great American Thank You for the honor you give to us vets
I raise my glass to you sir.
I’ve had Uncles as well as my Grandfather who served in Wars. They came home raised families but you could always tell they were different than the rest. More respected and loved by all of our family. Wonderful reaction Michael. I’m so glad you are you and are truly a real and wonderful person that you are. Much Love ♥️
When you leave this world, is when the last shots fired. You never retire, always at the ready for Corps God and Country.
It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since I enlisted. However, it doesn't matter how many years one has been out of the military, seeing things like this can make one proud for time served. Thank you to all who've served and are serving now.
Ok. Making me cry.
I love that song My dad was a retired Staff Sargent of a KC 135 refuler, and he has past now 7 years! So thank you for this video
Trace Adkins has a gift. He brings life and POV to truly amazing music. I'm thankful he brought an organization to light and hopefully was able to help so many.
I respect you for allowing us to see your authentic love and respect for our warriors that have and are serving from this vet I thank you
Thank you for your posts to honor our Veterans. There are no words...
I had an old man once tell me, a real man isn’t afraid to shed some tears. It’s the ones who are afraid of showing emotion that are not. Amazing video, and thank you to every soldier, warrior, and veteran who served their country.
Again, thank you my friend and brother. 💓
As a veteran, I just want to say "Thank You" to you. I don't typically subscribe to these channels, but felt compelled to subscribe to yours after hearing your comments. I like what I see and hear. Keep it real!
I swear this song is perfection for me. No matter how many times I hear it. It’s emotional I cry. And I wanna listen to it over and over.
I share that same feeling when watching this. It's a indescribable feeling. Not a bad one. It's like feeling grateful, and pride, like you said.. Definitely felt choked up and shed a couple of tears, though I've already seen this.
All I can say is THANKS🙏🏽
Thank you for this reaction. Grateful for ALL who have served.
Special mentions :
My grandfather, WWI
My father, WWII
Two of my brothers, Vietnam (at the same time)
My nephew and my son in law, Iraq and Afghanistan. 🙏🙏
Biggest hugs for Mike...From Vibe Tribe..🤗🤗🤗☝☝
Was 24 an my first trip to Somalia 🇸🇴.... 2 weeks after the event
I hit the like button before the video even started.
Trace shows such appreciation and reverence for our soldiers.
From this vet, son of a vet, and grandson of a vet, Thank You, Sir.
I'm a 60 yr. old multiple tour combat vet. The hardest thing was each time I would come home and see/hear SOME American whining and crying about absolutely nothing. Having no clue or appreciation of how blessed we are to live here even with all of her faults. No matter where I was in the middle east and I saw Old Glory a part of me would feel at peace. I thank you so much for your open emotion. That means a lot to guys like me.
Thank you.
THANK YOU for all that have served to keep us free, and i thank you for the respect you show
How did the man keep his composure through this song, I’m weeping!
"sometimes it's best to just be quiet and say, Thank you."
Thank you very much for posting and airing this video and your reaction.
Thank you.
My great-uncle was KIA (they told his momma "lost at sea") in 1946.....I can't imagine how bad her heart hurt. She spent the remainder of WWII baking goodies that she had packaged in coffee cans and sent them to soldiers still fighting ---- She never mentioned Merlin Jr. or the loss of him. I always think of those who lost their loved ones and those who did make it home, as they too were changed forever.
Thank you so much for the Trace video reactions; maybe a few more might come to understand. God bless.
Thank you!
I'm watching you on Memorial Day 2021. My Son In Law served 15yrs Iraq and Afghanistan. And Praise God he's home. Thank You...🇺🇸
Thank you 🇺🇸
God bless our troops! Thanks for being real man!
Thank you for sharing this. My Dad served in Vietnam, and later suffered from pancreatic cancer from Agent Orange, a chemical he delt with daily while in country. I miss and think of him today.
You keep doing you, Brother.....
Beautiful, just beautiful. Thank you to our heroes. Lost many in my family. They gave all for each of us.
Watched some of your reactions today.. thank you for honoring our true heroes on this day👍👏👏
wow.... this is so full of emotion - cry and have pride - I am thankful
I pray each night that the Lord be with our Military, Law Enforcement, Fire fighters and all those risking their lives for others. May God watch over them and their families. Thank you for your service.
Great powerful song, great powerful reaction. 👍💜
I was a the Bridgestone for this it was the best song of the night
To all my brothers and sisters in arms, past , present and future. Thank you for your service. The same to all those that serve in other uniforms, be it Police, EMTs, Firefighters, for you too sacrifice much to protect others.
You nailed it! I'm a iraq vet retired army, thanks for doing this
Thank you
Love both of these songs and you reactions to them. I must say, I could not help but cry. There are so many in our country who just don’t understand. I do and now I know that you do too.
I'd never heard this song before. My heart just flat out hurts! Partly from the pain I feel for the loss of our brave men and women. Partly from pride in our great country protected by those same type of Patriots! If this song doesn't touch a very vital part deep within your very soul, then you must not have one! I too, have no shame when the tears flow. I cry when TAPS are played, when the National Anthem is sung, when I hear God Bless the USA, and many others. For the sheer amount of our service members blood that has been shed over the years, me shedding a few tears is a very small payment for the freedoms that their blood has bought! 🇺🇸❤🙏
Thank you too DramaSyde
In my car, I have 2 red poppies hanging on my rear view mirror. One looks pretty fresh. The other was drenched in rain when I got it. I keep both. I got the ragged looking one 6 or 7 years ago from a black WWII veteran. I keep it to remind myself of that man's courage and service during a time when he was unwelcome in most of the country that he fought for. I keep the less ragged one in honor of my Dad, a white WWII veteran, also a man of courage. When I watched your reaction to this song today, I wanted to share this with you. Thank you for adding your light to my days.
Amen, Thank You America's Warriors!!
My Canadian Veteran husband and I were with the Wounded Warriors in Canada and although these men and women have visible and invisible scars, they are a great bunch. My appreciation and pride knows no bound for all of our soldiers and our Allied soldiers. Thank you to all who served and are serving. Semper Fi
Thank You.
I had not heard this song.
⭐❤🤍💙⭐❤🤍💙⭐
THANK YOU
Happy Veterans Day! To all those who have served..May God Bless you all and your families for your sacrifice to this great country and our freedom! 🦅🇺🇸❤️🙏
Country music so damn patriotic. Very emotional. I feel for all those in uniform. They are humans after all. It’s all I listen too with of course, a little metal music.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us.. Hopefully it will open more eyes...
I like how you ended the video. I was on a bike trip in Tennessee 3 Combat Vet bikers came in for breakfast at the place my wife and I were dining. What do you say well I just went up front and paid for mine and theirs. The waitress told them who so they caught me before we left the property and thanked me. I was like your welcome but I could never thank you guys enough. It was an honor to buy your breakfast. Then we all rode off.
Thank you for sharing that and now I am crying at work 💙 Lost to many friends in the wars this really brought it home all over again.
Oh. Wow. So beautiful, both the song and your reaction. Thank you.
Great job the choir added so much to this tjey are my fav part to listen to
you had to do this to me
So beautiful that it brought tears running down my face. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song. Mr adkins always has a beautiful voice and sings these songs for our warriors in service. Thank you warriors for your service to our country
the pride and strength i still have for this nation is insane.
Thank you for sharing this. I have 3 purple hearts on my mantle. 2 WWII (one was my father) (one for my uncle MIA) and Vietnam (one for my cousin army medic) ❤
God Bless all soldiers, veterans, & especially my daddy who served in Vietnam.
God Bless America and God Bless the Sons and Daughters who protect her.
Nothing but Admiration and Respect to my Brothers and Sisters in the Military! I use to tell them, when I came in contact with them, my being a police officer for over 20 years (now retired), I wanted them to know, while they were away from home protecting us! I was here at home, protecting their families! Hopefully, in some small way, I tried to make them feel a little better, being away from home. As I knew, they made me feel a little better, knowing they were busy, protecting me and my family. All My Best... To those serving in the Military!!!
Hart felt reaction bro!!!
It’s a very emotional song. The horrors of war unfortunately are real and they change everyone. My dad could never speak about his time in the navy. But I could see the deep sadness in his eyes.
I cried through this with you. My dad was an Army Chaplain, 20yrs military, Viet Nam Vet. Believe me, I get it. God Bless America, her soldiers and their families, and God bless you for your dignity and respect shown here.
A Song and performance worthy of Memorial Day.
I donate to the Wounded Warrior Project. GREAT organization.
When words fail us, music speaks.
Beautiful for showing your emotion. Bless you 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you for your true reaction . U.s. Army veteran 101st Airborne/Airmobile 1969 - 1994
I think you said it all much respect .
We are so blessed in this country to have so many heroes past and present, gone and still here. Thanks to everyone who served and serves for your sacrifice. Love you Dramasyde.
I have a son, who it's currently serving in the US Navy oh, and he has done two back-to-back deployments. Every time he gets deployed, my heart sinks a bit. I too have served in the US Navy, and dunphys deployments. They are extremely grueling, and tedious. God bless all our service members, and veterans.
Heavy. This one never gets easier. One of my true favorites.
Thanks for doing this.
I remembered the first time i heard this song. 18 and on my first combat deployment. Listening to this song and understanding i may never see my home again. Makes you grow up fast. Listening to it now makes me remember my brothers that didnt come home with me. Life is fragile and short.
Thank you sir! I served on active duty for thirty years and I appreciate your understanding. Again, thankyou!
I cried with you man...my dear uncle(Canadian) was captured and became a prisoner of war(WW2) in a Japanese labour camp for two yrs at age 21. He was starved and tortured..very few of his Battalion survived..when he came home he was NEVER the same !!
So sorry to hear this Iris....we love our Canadian brothers and sisters.
Thank you for your reaction- now i know I’m not the only one who sobs when I hear this song
We owe so much to our brothers in arms. I know not everything is right in this country, butting is still a great place.i served in the Navy I seen my friends wounded and loss their lives. The price of our freedoms is very high.
One thing country does right and well is respect our service men and women.
My son is Career Army. There's a bond these men and women have that can't be broken. We as Americans are divided right now, but if Our country was ever invaded we would stand together to fight. I've had people from other countries tell me they were saving to come live in America and the only country they would fight for is America.
Brilliant song and brilliantly put together
Thank you for that true reaction. My grandfather retired as a Gunny. I was born on an Air Force Base. My cousin is a medic in the Army. So thank you for the support.
Out of all the reactions I have watched. I have not seen one person caught that the first part of the song in '64 in nashville was the civil war. He was speaking as a confederate soldier. "When the yankees charged" that was the term for the Union army. Which we are still called today in places like England. Also, I'm a veteran myself. This song hits emotionally.
This is why I listen to you, and your great heartfelt comments. You have our ❤
Everytime I hear this song it's like I'm cutting onions
Bless you for listening to this song.
That means only one thing that you are compassionate and you have a heart that bleeds for the underdog Thank You
Such a deep song. Breaks my heart, but makes me proud of soldiers everywhere at any time. I can tell it is touching you too sir. Let us say a prayer of peace together.💕🙏🏻
Would love to meet you and talk over coffee sometime. There are so many things two em paths can find to talk about with one another.
God Bless You. I am crying too. I always do. My heart will forever be broken for our men and women who have been lost while at the same time I am grateful and happy for those who made it home.
Drama. Things like this is why I like you. If you arent giving us an evil goofy grin when Tim hits an E1 you are doing something thoughtful like this. I know as a vet I shouldn't care if what we did was acknowledged but it still feels nice when it is.
