thankyou strange I purchased the same kit even to the size large yes, only a bit over $10 more than the smaller one, your video gives me confidence to action when the kit arrives thankyou again
I've never used sealer kit before. Good to see how it done..I have done the apple cider vinegar soak a few times with decent results as long as tank is in decent shape. Nice job 👌
Yes thankyou the process worked like a charm, the fuel tank is now like new and shining inside and protected by the sealant. Note there is a little trick to keep sealant out of any pipes that are not easy to plug up, use an air compressor periodically to keep those pipes clean. I have finished work on the ZZR1100 it runs like a dream, now considering purchasing braided brake lines.
If the rust inside the tank is bad, drop the tank into a bath of 1 part molasses to 10 parts water (well mixed) and leave it for a week or so. Rotate the tank to get all the air out because whilst molasses will disolve rust, anything above the water line will rust like crazy.
Subscribed .... tank looks great for a rattle can job. It reminds me I need to repaint my tank !. The vinyl seat kept sticking to the tank and has ruined the paintwork probably because it had no lacquer coat to protect it.
Oooo so nice! My tank was sealed by the previous owner, he def didn’t remove the rust first. Now I’m thinking I should redo it. But how to remove tank sealer??
I've never had to do it but I imagine some form of liquid paint stripper would be the way to go. I would do some research first and see what other people have done.
Ok now I have taken off all the accessories attached to the fuel tank, yes I am about to do phase 1 of the process with the KRS kit, just one idiot question, I will be the idiot and this is the question, there are numerous outlets on a ZZR1100 fuel tank, most I have figured out how to keep them protected, but a couple of small pipes that are fixed to the fuel tank bend before they go into the tank therefore I am at loss of how to plug the 2 holes so that sealant does not block them at the end of the process, note: the other fuel pipes I can put a large screw into each one and extract after. Help I did say it is an idiot question, nowhere does anyone mention about this matter
Maybe try some cord or something that you can get into the tubes that you can extract later then seal them up over the top with a peice of rubber hose, a bolt and a hose clamp.

Thats awesome mate. Good idea with the compressor air.

Good idea. I have seen this done with old engine blocks.

Do you sell the shirts?
Not at the moment mate. Don't think I have the subscribers to warrant it.
