As soon as I opened my eyes in the morning, I heard my father listening to the radio. As I lay on the bed, I thought what the song meant. It's a beautiful song that can really make you understand the reality of life if you listen with restraint. If we are not really stuck, it is not difficult for us to be free.
My father started growing vegetables on our paddy field border about a year ago. Cucumber plants are not very old, although the snake gourd and bitter gourd are there from the beginning. Dad picked some vegetables and distributed some of them to the village houses and gave the rest to Red Uncle's vegetable lorry. It's very difficult for all of us these days. So whatever it is, sharing with others is very good quality in crucial time like this.
‘Saki’ was asleep when I leaving home. So I leave secretly😁
There were plenty of cucumbers in paddy field because of the hard work and the commitment of my father. I picked them and got a full bucket of cucumbers. When I coming back to home I saw, in front of the house is full of flowers. Saki ran on to me and I made it happy by giving a cucumber😂
When I try to cut the bitter cucumber into thin slices, put some the salt and pepper and put it in the sunlight, my mother brings a roll of rolls like a goddess. I ate the rolls greedy because it is delicious. I Add watermelon, honey, sugar, ginger, pepper, salt and water to the cucumber juice and prepare a juice. I take it with crispy cucumber slices and bring it to my parents. The juice was a gift to them because it was a very sunny day. I came back to home to continue the work I was doing earlier. I added some cucumber juice to the rose water and put it in a bottle. When you feel tired, you can soak your face a little with that water and the fatigue will go away. Putting a few pieces of dry cucumber in homemade white coconut oil and drying it in the hot sunlight is also a good hand remedy.
A few days later, my brother and I had a little more homework than usual because my mother was sick. So my brother cooks one meal a day. I cook the other meal. Having a brother to share everything in life except mom and dad is such a strength💛
My brother doesn’t like to eat cucumbers at all. But he eats chick peas with dried prawns, bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, onion leaves, coconut pieces, ginger, garlic. Therefore I add some cucumber to the dish and that’s my trick to give him cucumbers😁
After that I cut cucumber into pieces and add chili, turmeric, salt, pepper, fenugreek, red onion, curry leaves, ‘rampe’ leaves, green chilies, cinnamon and cook for ten minutes. There was a very tasty smell after adding some crushed coconut, garlic, mustard and raw rice into the cucumber dish.
The cucumber slices, which had been dried in the sun for several days, were now as dry as peas. Add a few slices of dried cucumber to the fried ‘papadam’ and curry and mix it with chili, salt and pepper is good to see on the table. I laid down the food on the table and went to bring some fruit to eat. Grapes, pineapple, avocado, pomegranate, banana, cucumber…. using these fruits I made special ‘Fruit Boats’😁😍.Pieces of condensed milk-soaked fruit are really tasty. Only one fruit boat wasn’t enough for the father and I gave half of mine to him💛
Cucumber-coconut oil that has been soaked in the sun for several days should be rolled back so that it does not stick to the pieces, otherwise it will not be possible for preservation. Add a little bit of vitamin E oil to cucumber-coconut oil and apply it on your hair a few hours before taking a bath. It provides great nutrition as well as good cooling to the scalp, naturally. No matter how reluctant people are to accept it, natural things are the best for us.
