Good review. My preference is to pour some water on the grounds first, and let them soak for 30 seconds before using the reservoir to drip the rest of the water. I think I get better extraction for a better fuller taste. I saw this recommendation on another review some time back, and so I’m sharing this suggestion here.
I think blooming the coffee (that's the technical name for what you're describing) before using the reservoir is a brilliant idea. I can see that you're much less likely to be a hole through the middle by extracting the CO2 first. Great tip!
Fully agree. I find I use this quite often on weekdays when I'm focused on work and don't have the time or inclination to fully immerse in coffee. It brews a very good cup. I also find that if I give it a couple of swirls, I can counteract the center holes a bit
I had different types of coffee machine, and i ended up being tired of using them . I like this pour over coffee brewer you are showing . Simple old school type, but effective.
Not everything has to be the ultimate experience. Most of life is somewhere in-between the best and the worst. And sometimes less in taste can give you more in time and energy, so are you actually losing anything?
Great content. Before you go and invest in a superior coffee system the pour over is a great way to stick your toe in the water and see if you want to put in the effort. Well done.
I could not agree more! And thank you for the kind words, it's what makes this channel with making while I'm not making any income from it. Hopefully this video will help somebody give their way into a new hobby and encourage them. Cheers! 🥂

The oxo is my favorite when I only want one cup verses a whole pot. Loved you review.

Simple doesn't mean less good, sometimes it's actually better.
Just bought this and I can't wait to try it! Great video and explanation.
Thank you!
very well done review
Thank you!
That was my thought process to the t. I dont want the hassle of an espresso machine, just fresh brewed coffee.
