I can't pass up the rebates , im going with the current model y performance. First tesla, no stalks are something im not ready for , dont care about back seat screen. I think the car looks great now, so im cool with the looks. Im coming from a 2013 Rav4. It's an upgrade either way. The cabin sound, turn on the radio, put something to deaden the sound in the back.
Let's say the juniper is announced in the first quarter. I imagine existing inventory will be even cheaper than it is now, but do you think they will continue the financing incentives? I'm on the fence, juniper sounds nice even if I think removing the stalks is silly.
It's quite difficult speculation here. Mostly you see the best incentives in Q4, however with Tesla you cannot predict anything. Personally I am in favor of refinements that you will see in the new Y juniper but I cannot guarantee these incentives will stay there. Also not sure if we see Fed incentives stay after new administration takes over.
I share you exact assessment. The current model Y is a great car however when Im driving with my wife and four kids I don't want the car to feel sporty and stiff. I could probably live with the suspension but the sound insulation is horrible to say it mildly especially when factoring in the price of the war. Ive driven anything from korean, Chinese, French and German of the same size and price range and they are much quieter and refined than the Model Y. I will wait for the Juniper
Thanks for sharing. Absolutely, sound insulation felt like a basic car problem that should have been resolved in the current gen Model Y, not sure why they didn't do this. I really hope it is resolved in the Juniper. Tesla knows Model Y is their most important vehicle, so hopefully they spend quality time on refining it.
I DON’T LIKE THE IDEA OF NO STALKS. BUT I LIKE EVERYTHING THAT WOULD BE IMPROVED AND WAY BETTER IN THE JUNIPER. WISH WE HAVE A WAY TO TELL MUSK TO PUT BACK THE STALKS AND OPTIONS NOT TO ENTIRE GLASS ROOF NOW!!!
Rebates, discounts and interest rates make the current Y compelling Will the juniper be an improvement? Of course it will be (natural trajectory of technology) The current offer is such a great deal since the tax credit (if you qualify) absorbs the depreciation and you can always trade in for the juniper in the few years Lot of nitpick improvements vs saving $10k+…
Thanks for stopping by. This is a good way to look at it. You can buy the current Y today and maybe few years down the line trade it for the Juniper if you care a lot for the refinements. So many friends around me got Teslas now and everyone asking me when will I get one :). Maybe I should for the channel.
@ still your opinion has credibility and would be helpful to those on the fence where financing is not as important to them For some, it totally makes sense if seeking potential ride comfort a juniper could offer

thanks for sharing. Looks like you are all set. Yep with Q4 you see some of the best incentives from Tesla.
As always-such a great video-tons of useful and helpful information in each of them! Great job! Can’t wait for another one!👍
Yay! Thank you!
Great video and discussion. Own a 4 1/2 year old model Y. Excellent car. However, I would recommend waiting for the new one as well.
Thanks for the feedback and your insight as an owner of Model Y. Can't wait for the new one to come out and review it
I didn’t pass up the discounts and bought the 2025 model Y in red. Can’t wait to pick it up next Friday!

Hey, thanks for the feedback, I hear rumors they may be thinking about it because in Europe their Model 3 sales dropped

Or just wait for the electric x3 to arrive in us market 😁
Let's see. So far I am not sold on the looks of new X3. I think new electric X3 will be called iX3 or smth.
Thanks but no thanks. Elonia 😊
No Tesla at all? :)
That background noice made me close your video...
Thanks for the feedback
