- My friend Lauren is writing a book about a Victorian medium. I thought she might like this newsreel featuring a seance filmed by British Movietone in 1932. It's a very strange little film!
Movietone releases some extracts from record of seance made in studio early last year. Lady Conan Doyle attends dramatic demonstration by Mrs Meurig Morris. EDITOR'S NOTE: For the first time in the history of sound motion pictures, British Movietone News has been able to record a seance. You will notice that during this unique film the microphones crashed to the ground, the medium remaining oblivious to the danger of this occurrence.

yes in deed.. a very strange little film..
I hate it when a ghost possesses me to do a prayer. Like you're already on the other side bro, just go talk to the big guy
prayer to abrahamic god is selling yourself to demiurge
All entertaining Baloney

this sounds like the RA files a little bit. 4th dimension stuff
Winston Churchill! Sir? Is that you?
No doubt there are still among the credulous those who actually believe such things.
We can see that none of the participants seem very disturbed by what is falling from above....as if they knew it was coming.
Just as when viewing this film, I believe that I would have had difficulty restraining my laughter had I been there.
What you've got to remember though, is that these people would be EXPECTING something to happen! Hence why there's no fear or movement.

Conan Doyle’s books about mediums & spiritualism are cringeworthy because his offered ‘evidence’ is generally astoundingly ridiculous.
