We just generally like there comedy/voice over, personally i can't stand this guy's voice and it makes it hard to get into, had they done the same video id be sucked in the whole time, voices really do make a difference, 🤷♂️

I get that it’s business but say that to a disgruntled cashier that just got yelled by a customer for doing their job. Different scenario, same deal. I studied spiritualism at a Catholic Church in the 1990’s. It’s amazing how much the Catholic Church has hidden many things from comedy and humor and the Holy Ghost and Spirit. Many religions believe any interest or indulgence in Tarot Cards , or any form of seeking answers from spirits. My family hired a nanny when I was in the hospital, and she posted pictures of my house to her Facebook page , eg, of my Buddha Head in the Garden, my crystals, and essential oils in my massage room and basically said I’m a devil worshipper ... When I arrived back from the hospital she was meant to stay on and continue to help me and my children as I got back my strength, yet despite her having already been paid $7000 for the 6 weeks of work , she walked out , trying to take my 17,15 and 13 yr old kids with her ....Yet I’m the crazy one.... she then said false statements to my husband ( we had just separated at the time) and then wrote affidavits for his side of he custody case. Beliefs are just that ,, a thought you feel real . I prefer ideas . Beliefs aren’t facts and change be changed with new information. Curious all of these amazing inventors sort sessions from mediums. Although most of them nowadays aren’t real and just full of ego !

It's interesting that when we talk about mediumship we rarely or never mention the author who coined the term: Allan Kardec.
Personally, I think the girls had the abilities, since they were said to run in the family, as clairvoyance often does. Plus, once Maggie repressed her gifts and looked for Jesus to please her husband, she found nothing but poverty, misery, and most telling of all, alcoholism. Substance abuse is a crutch many become dependent on when trying to renounce parts of themselves fundamentalist religion tells them are evil. It's quite a shame how the sisters' relationship fell apart. I hope they're at peace now. Blessed be.

They have so much to answer for. If someone proposed that spirits could communicate with us now, I don't think they'd be given anywhere near the same amount of credence.

What made this really interested is the narrators voice
What interests me as a student of religion and theology is how the movement was faced by the churches. In that sense the aspect of late rejection and conversio intrugue me. Christianity in fact never denounced the existence of spiritual forces, but what has been forbidden is the wrongful use of them. Especially women were the targets of judgement when it came to these denied exercises - almost anything undesirable could be marked as witchery throughout the history of western Christianity. At that time still it must have been quite a taboo to practise such beliefs. On the other hand, moddern study of theology is interested in both the official dogmatic systems as well as the everyday common people beleifs and practises. So it should be mentioned, despite the long history of persecution (fueled by misogyny and search for orthodoxy), witchcraft, spiritulism and superstition have been quite common among normal people. But in the 1800's Christian awakening movements of the laymen have possibly been the most serious competitor of the spiritualistic movement in the rivalry over common people's souls - they both had their interest in everyday life of normal people instead of glergy and political elite. In general the trend of pietism, as in the conceps of personal piety and devotion usually practised in smaller groups of adults, was in the rise and must have affected both the official Christianity as well as more controversial groups.
I am what some would call Christian Spiritualist. A branch broke from Lily Dale and ended up in Camp Chesterfield Indiana due to difference. I also love to go there. What is really sad is that the churches won't address this calling it evil. Yet the bible has so many examples. Psychics is only a part of it. It is what you make of it. Remember one of the spiritual gifts is the gift of prophecy.

The fox sister's memoriam and where they lived isn't in rochester, it's in a small town Newark, NY. The house was torn down about 20yrs ago and a building was erected in it's place for the fox sisters. People can stop and visit.

Your thing on Harry Houdini was... Not quite right. He hated the practice ENTIRELY, dedicated himself to proving that it was ALL fake.
The contact with his mother? Yea that was a flop bc the psychic claimed she spoke to her in English when the woman didn't know a word of the language. And the whole would contact his wife after his death thing? Yea that was a sort of continuation of his disproving, like "if it IS real them I will come back and speak to my wife on this day of the year." So every year they tried, and every year they failed, until eventually his wife died as well.
