  • Today we’re finally going to tear into the Honda trail 90. While I do intend on cleaning it up, my first priority is to see if it’ll even run before I sink a lot of work into its appearance. In this video, we fix a no spark issue, install a carburetor and more. Hopefully next time we'll be able to get this motor running! This 1973 K5 model should be a joy to ride once it's up and running.

Definitely excited for part 2. I personally have a couple shorts in my wiring.

I currently own a 1972 Honda Trail 90. I really love this little bike. My personal experience with these Trail 90 bikes is the rectifier seems to go bad over time. With it just having 6-volts on a good day, every volt is greatly appreciated. These rectifies are made and sold on Ebay for about $25.00. You can always check your rectifier to ensure it is working properly. However, because the up-grade is so cheap, and easy to install, plus you will get better spark and brighter lights. I, would recommend replacing sometime during the upgrade. Welcome to the Trail 90 World! Have fun and see you on the trails!!!! :)

@@dylanpoucher-eo8pz Your best bet is to buy a Service Manual. Most come with a wiring diagram.

Invest in a soldering iron and shrink tubing
Eventually you will revisit the repair you made with the butt connectors
    Especially when they get wet

This color is known as "Mars Orange". It was the only color offered on this bike for both the years of 1972 and 1973. By this color alone, you can determine that the bike is one of these two model years. I love the Trail 90!!!!!
