Super! Really enjoyed the (Make it nice) approach without a complete teardown. Mostly because I am to lazy to tear one all the way down!! Haha Looking forward to the next one!!
Watch that airbox mounting tab next time😅 I’ve broken them off, too. Rebuild that original carb, it’s hit or miss on those aftermarket carbs (seen at the end). Nice work, great bikes!

Thanks Stephen! I ran in to something similar on my orange CT90. The original rectifier was charging around 10v so I replaced it with one off ebay. It was dead on arrival so I ended up getting one from Dr. ATV. The one they recommended has been trouble free. Thanks again for stopping by!
@@straightvaping4190, Totally agree! I have a couple little things I still need to fix on it but will hit the trails with it in a couple weeks!!! Thanks for stopping by!
I have a 1974 Honda Trail 90, all original with 698 actual miles. It sat in a Barn for 30 years. It does have a new battery and new tires, but it runs perfectly. Starts every time on first or second kick. It is so much fun to ride.
I have a 1972 Honda CT-90 in very good condition with just 3,143 miles on it. These bikes are so well made and last forever with proper maintenance and motor oil changes. Thanks for sharing your video, I learned several things!
Wish I had the skills and desire to do all of the details that you mentioned I have it in my mind that I’ll just pass mine along to my grandson depending upon how much he has an interest
If you break it down and modify it, you can’t go back to the way it was but if you start by just cleaning it out first and see how it looks you’ve done no damage.
I got a new Honda frame cover off ebay. I had the place that mixes my paint do a color match off the fender and it is "Kraft Bus - School Bus Yellow. Brand code 902867" I used PPG shopline single stage JAU paint. It is spot on. I show the label around 36:00 mins in the video.
The dark gray? I believe it is DUPLICOLOR JB-DUP-HWP102. There should be only a few colors of the "High Performance" wheel coating at the parts store. It is the dark metallic gray one. It is a reasonable match.

I think some of the things would have went faster if I just took it all apart lol
Mustie Meets Vice Grip!💯😉👍
Dude, your comment made my day 😁 Thanks for watching!

great as always. I replaced the rectifier on my honda S90 and it mysteriously lost spark. looks like it's time to work on it again!

@@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS ah, that may be my problem then. hope not though, I can't stand waiting for parts!

I'd like to see more videos on these and Honda three wheelers maybe videos on 200ms and maybe an attempt shock rebuild/fix on a 200es big red
Thanks for the suggestions! I do have some 3 wheeler projects coming up real soon. I will keep my eye out for some 200es stuff! Thanks for watching!

Glad you liked it and thanks again for watching!

WOW! I thought my other yellow one with 1500 miles was low. Very nice! Is the original rectifier still charging?

All those videos on CT-90's that run and shift properly after 20 years of non-operation amaze me.
I've had pretty good luck on the 90 and 110 stuff so far! Lucked out and this one was really low miles. Thanks for watching!
Dude, that Yellow bike is museum stuff. Gorgeous.
Thanks! I have a bunch of video of that build. I will work on getting it on the channel really soon. Thanks for watching!

It's pretty darn nice now. I think I'll leave this one alone. Thanks for the comment!

Agreed! This one is going to stay original. Thanks for watching!
Amazing work! But... the skill needed to throw 2 boxes of tubes and have them land perfectly on top of the seat had my jaw dropped!
🤣🤣 I didn't even know I did that until I was editing the video days later haha. I was just looking at the camera and randomly throwing stuff 😁
The clutch was slipping for most of those initial start kick. engine only actually turned on 4 of the kicks
Good eye! We got it fixed and it's running great now!
I have an identical CT90 that needs paint. What specific paint (yellow) did you use? Did you find a new HONDA frame cover or aftermarket?

What was the color code for the Dupli-Color paint?

@@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS Thank you so much! I’m in the process of fixing up my CT90 K2.
@@truemc2619 Nice, hope it goes well for you!
Nice toss with those tubes on the seat. How did you pull that off ?
HA! That was just dumb luck, I was looking at the camera and just tossing stuff at the bike 🤣
Just bought a yellow 24. Searching for a yellow original.
Nice! I am thinking about getting a new on too. That would be cool to have a matching old one!
@@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS If you ever want to sell the "show" bike I'm interested. Thanks
@@robertyoung8289 I need to hold on to that one for a little while 😁
@@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS Totally understood. Thank you brother.
I’ve got a 69 model and I have to disconnect the battery or it goes dead each time I ride it . don’t know what is wrong
The wiring on these Trail 90s can be a real pain. It sounds like you might have a little short somewhere. Now finding it can be really tough on these.
CT70, vht spray 10yrs ago. Still looks good. Not perfect good
Good to hear!
Title says 50 year old wreck. That bike was no where near being a wreck.
Wiring wise it was a wreck 😁
leave it as is . dont cut anything .
Ya, it's cleaned up and good to go!
You did absolute BS with the fender...
There are more out there, it did the trick 😁
