The new President was a General in the Army commanding Special Forces. As Military officers, he is bold enough to make decisions and has a good knowledge of World GeoPolitical dynamics. Indonesia becoming a fully fledged BRICS member is a very strategic move IMO. Especially from a military/economic perspective where the AUKUS is designed to steer a lot of the western military strategy toward China. Strengthening BRICS in this region provides strong potential to divide western powers with Australia being a lynchpin. The whole western based strategy against China needs Australian bases and cooperation to succeed. Without them it becomes divided in its powerbase, geographical and logistical connections, spying capability. With BRICS now on the Australian doorstep, the potential for mutual alignment has significant potential to grow and thereby create division amongst western allegiances..
