That’s such a shame… I deal with the same thing here in Canada. Labatt in particular brews a lot of the bigger “import” brands under liscense and they taste nothing like the originals.
I understand having a beer that is not “objectively” great, but really proffers personal enjoyment. That’s Coors Banquet for me. I have to say I’m not the biggest fan of Corona; I fell in love with Sol-based Micheladas when I was in Cancun for a conference, and a friend recently turned me on to Bohemia Pilsner. Alessandro is much more convincing as a beachgoer being in sunny Florida and all (btw, go Canes!)
You're so right, there are just some beers that speak to your personal experiences and tastes. We all have them. Especially beers that we've had on vacations that you have positive memories associated with. Which for me is Corona. The Banquet is an interesting one, could be a good candidate for a review down the line. Bohemia is a great one as well! Btw, go Habs! Eric Staal use to be a killer for the canes against us, nice to see him on this side now ;)
@@BeerBrackets I like to think we have the best Staal brother right now, but the Habs have been playing good hockey! Hopefully the Canes can channel that comeback energy in this series, to the chagrin of Alessandro.
Corona has 19 ibus which is not Bad for a beer that it's just a...regular Beer. Cheers guys love your reviews and love the intro ;)
I've always enjoyed Corona Extra.
I wish they had Insight already squeezed in the can lime?
or is it taste better without the lime?
LOL. Love the boonie cap. Rock one myself but in desert camo.
Corona used to be my jam before falling in love with more craft style beers. Nice vid!
Sadly in the uk corona is brewed under license instead of being imported from mexico and it tastes nothing like the original
