Hey Chef Frank, thank you for posting this recipe and the walk through. I made it and it was delicious. I used it as a layer in a trifle that had lemon cake and raspberry curd. The intense dark chocolate helped balance the sweet tanginess of the cake and curd. Appreciate you!
I made this for dessert on Easter Sunday. It was a smash hit! I made whipped cream to go on top, added some chocolate curls and colorful sprinkles for decoration. So yummy!
A simple and easy-to-follow demonstration, as always, @ProtoCookswithChefFrank!!! 💜💜💜 Looking forward to topping this with a whipped mascarpone cream and a pile of fresh strawberries, which are abundant here right now. 😋😋😋
Ooooh I'm very much looking forward to watching this later! Thank you, Frank. My mom used to make mousse au chocolat for special occasions, beautiful memories.
My kiddos and I refer to you as "Uncle Frank". Thanks for another great recipe, "Uncle Frank". Your pancake recipe is still our number 1 go-to recipe. I copied the recipe directly from your video; when someone asks about the recipe; I tell them, "it's "Uncle Frank's" recipe." 🥞🥓🍳
Surprised you made it with heavy cream, I do it the „italian“ way only eggs, sugar, chocolate and a bit of water. I like both ways but with only eggs i think it’s richer and I can barely eat more than one portion with heavy cream I always overeat 😂 love your way of presenting and joy of cooking 🥰💪🏻 keep going!
I sincerely hope this was made in jest, but, for those who don't know, cream of tartar is a stabilized and concentrated form of a chemical called Tartaric acid which naturally forms during the fermentation of grapes to make wine. Cream of tartar is also used as leavening agent in baking powder.
I’m not sure what you are referring to because not only did he not use watermelon juice in his chocolate mousse he didn’t even mention watermelon in the video.

Hey Chef, thanks for the recipe and video, I was literally thinking to myself today how to make chocolate mousse, so right on time with this one!
I love mousse and haven't made it in a while, perfect timing!
At 7:05, that's what we call "Opferschnee" (scarificial snow) in German. :)
One of the first things I made when I started learning to cook while in college.
Nice recipe ❤
When I melt chocolate, I put in the frig and then grate it using the large holes on a box grater. Melts really fast.
Great tip!!!!!
I usually use whipped cream for my mousse, not egg whites
Extra decadent!
That's how I make mine, too. I'm kind of curious about the egg whites, now.
@@ProtoCookswithChefFrank I usually just use Jello pudding and Cool Whip 😂
Could you also make this with an Italian meringue or would that be too stiff?
I thought about that and decided it may be too firm.
Is it also possible to replace the dark and milk chocolate with white chocolate?
You should link a video to you making vanilla extract.
It may have to be a TikTok
I thought the same! That would be very much appreciated!
I think we we can pour it on a pie crust then add whipped cream then get a mouse pie !!!
Great idea!!!!
Chef Frank, you say no chips, but really? What about Guittard?! That's my go-to for a chocolate snack these days!
If you like them then use them! I was mainly talking about toll house or store brand chips.
I legit made boxed chocolate mousse for a cake yesterday.
You’re a day late with this video!! 😂🤣
Oh no!
Welp, I know what I’m making this weekend 😂
Did you resist licking the bowl?😅
I may have had a lick off camera
Let's goooo

What's cream of tartar? What's a tartar? Are we now creaming the hard buildup on some animals teeth?
I sincerely hope this was made in jest, but, for those who don't know, cream of tartar is a stabilized and concentrated form of a chemical called Tartaric acid which naturally forms during the fermentation of grapes to make wine. Cream of tartar is also used as leavening agent in baking powder.
Thanks for the recipe friend! Jesus loves you and died and rose from the dead to save you from h3ll! Repent of your sins and believe for eternal life
I've never seen someone use watermelon juice in a chocolate mousse before!!
?
I’m not sure what you are referring to because not only did he not use watermelon juice in his chocolate mousse he didn’t even mention watermelon in the video.
Frank has no shame. Just pimping himself in videos to try to get sponsors. Haha,
Oh and no recipe in the description. That's needs to be added.
It has been added to the description. Thanks for the heads up.
