Wow dude I've been listening to your pali gap sofa jam for years. Your playing is so much more refined after all those years of practice. This is an absolute pleasure to listen to. Great work!
Undoubtedly my favorite piece of music ever made. I like to take it as a whole. Hendrix was ethereal. Mitch, Juma, and Billy created something special as well. I listen for them. You can even hear the boom bap of hip hop. And this was 1970. Big bass. Proper space was given that turns your neck into a metronome. I'd love to hear the rhythm track reproduced with such high fidelity as this amazing guitar lead.
Pali gap is something deep Hendrix-philes get. Was released on that studio white release post humously almost 30 Years after with audio management like the Beatles pushing music through two channels. When that dropped in the 90s it was special. And then many top guitar players tried to pay respect. Warren Haynes with mule paid homage. He deserved a shot and gave Pali Gap some respect. There’s a new Hendrix drop that way cool it’s from the “Both Sides” release. Never heard it before and just way chill and cool. Even my 16 year old upon first listen said “ this is cool” it’s called “Jungle” from the recent release Both Sides with the album or studio release from 2018. Just listen and thank me later
Youngster at 65 but listening to Jimi since the early 70s and never heard anything as good as this! Well done! Beautiful!! Loved the improvisation at the end... You do Jimi absolute justice... he is looking down and smiling...
Great job 👏 one of my all-time favorite songs, I pretty much love all Hendrixx songs but this is one of my favorites your little improvisation at the end sounds good man
One of my favourite tunes. I can see you seeming to leave the feelings off your face and body and put it all into your fingers. There was an explosion of feeling in both hands. That is so great to see. One of the best I've seen and heard. KUDOS.
c'est bizarre, j'ai l'impression qu'il joue en play-back et que c'est le Pali gap d'Hendrix que l'on entend ? Il est parfois pas synchro. Sinon, respect, très fort !
Very few get how special Pali gap is. The fact it’s a choice of yours puts you higher on the rungs of respect. My historical tops are Jimi Page , Hendrix , Jerry Garcia, Beatles. With bootleg drops being relaxed the last 2-3 years it’s like we can rediscover Zepplin all over again and Hendrix. They had tight controls and bootlegs in the 80s sucked but the recent UA-cam concert footage or audio is amazing. Imagine sneaking in a video camera in 77? So happy to see it So far Seattle 77 is my fav for Zepplin. So honored to hear Hendrix 70s shows but my fav is always Band of Gypsies with a Billy Cox and a buddy Miles.
Man when are you going to flip the the neck, hope your not one of those guys that think that you are copied cat no way put the left hand neck on and you will blow your own mind
Its not just a ''cover'' , he appropriate (own) the song but as an ''Hendrix'' music (in the sense of ''jazz music'', ''blues music'', ''rock music''...) and almost nobody have ever play ''Hendrix music'', except maybe Neil Young with Killing Cortez in show, ua-cam.com/video/c93-UdPz1BI/v-deo.html
I’m addicted to this song
