Meow Mix the reason is MVC INFINTIE tried to experience with too many things. If they had took this approach or even the approach from the Kenchi game, we would have had a descent game. The graphics were a disaster. For the longest time I think the people who made the game wanted to kill the franchise. Jmo!

I think the fact that Morrigan's doppleganger attack used Lilith rather than just another Morrigan was a nice touch. It's not the only time that's been done, but it's a nice shout out.
To this day, I still genuinely feel bad for fighting game fans who never got to play this game.
Not in a mocking or greater than thou kind of way. Just... I'm sorry guys, this was a great game.

***** My point exactly. If her, and Yami, the main boss, are the only villain characters in the entire game, that's an extreme lack of villains. Even the original Street Fighter II had at least 4 villains. And Tatsunoko Fight, the fighting game that TvC was partially inspired from, included many villain characters. This game is absolutely incredible but the roster would've been so much more diversified with some more villains in there.
justin williams well originally, m.bison and franziska von karma was going to be in the game. m.bison was cut due to time problems and franziska was cut do to them having a hard time make her work in a fighting game
Tyler Herman I'm glad Bison wasn't in this game. He, like Akuma, is way overused and overly relied upon. I appreciate that TvC didn't find itself stuck in a Street Fighter mindset and allowed itself to be more open with its roster. I would've loved some more Tatsunoko villains though :)

If this game by some miracle ever gets a sequel then we need some new characters a couple of new heroes, and villains for both Capcom and Tatsunoko. One character I would love to see on the hero side for Tatsunoko is Kyosuke the main hero of Soul Taker as for supers Lv. 1 easy standard Lightning Breaker, Lv2. that one melee combo he does midway through the series to win that one fight, and Lv3. again no brainer it's Double Lightning Breaker.
This game looks like one big Nostalgia Fest.

Might be difficult considering Smash Bros already uas quite a bit of Capcom characters in it. (Megaman, Ryu, Ken as fighters and Zero and Guile as assist trophies)

it blows that they didn't bother with Speed Racer either since the only way to do moves for him was to make them up like Captain Falcon or Jin Saotome

The "team Roket" formula has been used in all the kids superheroes of Tatsunoko as far as i know (since the 60s or 70s).
It's an old "tradition".

I actually had this game. My favorite characters were the two giant ones. Particularly Gold Lightan and his Stomp Hyper.
Characters were so fucking awesome in this game. Tekkamen and Strider were absolute soulcrushers. Alex too. Man, so sick.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom was overall better than MvCI. For MvCI, Capcom didn’t give better characters like Batsu, Cyber Blue, or Edward Falcon and instead gave us lame characters like Spencer and Haggar. At least they put in Jedah but, still.

The most stupidest move ever,yet does a whole bunch of damage.
You know, Alex's Hyper Bomb varies based on if you are fighting a giant character, and if their back is turned.
Miss Doron'jo was so funny to play with, and that's what this game exuded when I got it: pure unrelentless fun. I saw the trailers and announcements on an old CD I got from a game magazine - the good old times~ - and when I saw it, I thought: "Damn. I don't know anything about it, but I must have it", and so I did.
I don't have a Wii anymore but that doesn't mean I won't eventually buy one in the future so I can play with this game and at Smash Brawl all day! As well as some GameCube games!

Wow, didn't realize just how op Tatsunoko's supers are. Capacom's supers got shit on when you compare that damage
never were meant to be balanced. A lot of the Capcom's character's have very limited move sets, while Tatsunoko's character's move sets are much more.. well not complicated, but just more moves. Ryu's move set is a fricken joke.

ThatMessyAsianDude i think it's a balance of projectiles vs combos. for example, ryu has a lot of easy spammable attacks, so in response, he's pretty slow. likewise, zero can combo very easily, so his hypers are based around it. I noticed a lot of the tatsunoko characters don't have many base projectiles, so that could be their compensation. I will say though in terms of over the top flashiness, tatsunoko takes the cake no question.

Tatsunoko were extremely hard to work with, including them vetoing some characters without explanation, such as Berg Katse or a Mospeada Cyclone. Add in that Capcom had lots of problems wirh gathering licenses in US (a character not making it at all), and it becomes pretty understandable that they themselves declared there wouldn't be a sequel ever for this amazing game.
The biggest issue last time was Capcom had difficulty even acknowledging the existence of middlemen. Collaboration is possible between Capcom, Tatsunoko, and all the collective distributors and rights-holders across the world, it’d simply take like three times as much revenue as they’d earn. There’s a very good reason TvC is criminally overlooked. >w
