I like when I actually recognize the store he's in. The hobby store looks like it might be the HobbyTown, which is right next door to the Fort Worth Woodcraft store he goes to. I live 5 minutes from that store, so I'm quite familiar with it.
Hey Bobby, I don't think you will see this, but we are all so proud of how far you have came. You have been the light in the dark for some of us, me especially. Your videos have helped me find joy through my parents divorce, my own mental illness, and everything life has thrown at me, thank you BobbyDuke.
I was about to slide in here like, "Hey, man. Can we get the name of that hobby store? Not because I want to be a creep or anything, just because good hobby stores are so hard to find and I get to the DFW area every so often." BUT THEN HE TOLD US AT THE END. A LEGEND. 😭 So glad to see a video from you, Bobby! You know it's a good day when there's a new Bobby Duke video out ❤
Purrfect suggestion. Replying to boost this comment. Reasons this is a great idea, and even better than having the cat on the sill inside: Having the cat on the rail would give viewers a clue that this is LoFi girl's house, even before they look in and see her. If this cat had been sitting in the window, it would block our view of LoFi girl.
Bob, my grandpa used to do little "wewd" houses, with and incredible level of details. Your video really bring me this inspiration to build a little house in his honor. It is looking great and i am loving to do it Very big hug from Brazil!! Thank you bob 🫡🫡
Bobby, Mr. Dukey, sir. I don’t know if anyone else has said this or not, but I’m truly, genuinely glad that when you hit your low point you were able to recognize it and get the help you needed, and to channel the left over into your art, rather than let it destroy your family and your happiness. Your art is beautiful and your journey is admirable, and I pray for your continued happiness and improvement
I am so happy. Thank you for coming back to grace us with some Ghibli, Bobby Duke style! Putting the wires through the drain pipe was amazingly smart, and the pipe itself is a nice touch.
I never knew you had addiction issues too!!! I started watching you because I remembered how I used to love to make things when I was little so I wondered if it would still bring me as much joy. When I found out it did, I searched UA-cam like a crazy bitch for inspo people & you were the only one I could connect with. Proper neurospicy with a mental sense of humour. Thank you for helping me stay away from the dark side & sharing your unworldly talents, you’ve no idea how much you help me 🙌🏻

Such awesome people they are, let alone what amazing artists and entertainers they both are too!
I really appreciate Bobby being so open about his mental health. Thank you. I watch the videos for relaxation but I feel like they are a full on therapy and also a lesson in art all at the same time. When you said "everyone is going through something" it helped me frame my past traumas differently to think that instead of being angry something bad happened to kinda realise that bad things are a part of life to face and everyone is in it together. Hope that makes sense. Legitimately really helped just that one phrase. The house is so satisfying.

And not even half a second later I was proven right 😂 I'm sure I'm not the only one. Your creativity, attention to detail, and sense of humor, man. Good to see you again, I hope you and the family are doing well.
What a fabulous build. Not only are you getting a Ghibli vibe with an original design, but your clever handling of the wiring makes it beautifully clean. Love it!!!!
Your voiceover playing over whimsical music felt like a wild mashup of your usual style with one of those japanese miniature makers like Hanabira. Very appropriate for a ghibli project!
My close friend just lost her husband to liver failure due to alcoholism. He was only 42. I’m glad for you AND your family that you recognized you had a problem and are continuing, every day, to combat it. The world is a better place with a physically and mentally healthy YOU in it. I’m also grateful that you take time away from your goofy side to address serious issues. WEWD!
You have a unique and beautiful imagination, it's hard to fit that into the homogeneous, hum-drum world. ❤ Thank you for choosing to get help. We really love having you on Earth (& UA-cam.)
About 25 or so years ago my friends at the time and I used to hang out at a local hobby store (kind of a mix of craft & comic store) and there was a gas station right next to it where we'd go and get drinks, snacks, and lunch. This reminded me of the kind of attitude they had. We were all buds. The house looks great. Thanks for giving Lo-fi girl a fitting home.
Thank you for being so open and candid about what's been going on. My anxiety has been really bad lately and this is exactly what I needed. Thank you Bobby, you are a bright spot in my otherwise dim world.
It always makes my day whenever Bobby uploads. I've been watching this channel for about 6 years now and it still remains as one of my favorites on all of UA-cam. And as a huge Ghibli fan I have to say that this video is just a treat. Beautiful work as always.

I watched that whole thing with my jaw on the floor. Just . . . amazing! Your talent is truly inspiring; now back to work on my own (decidedly un-artistic) projects!
My son loves anything miniature especially these types of beautiful buildings. I am just so clumsy and the constant dropping of stuff I would probably endure would make me lose my mind completely. I gotta say that I truly admire your skills and patience in making such a stunning piece. I can't wait for part 2 and will be recommending your channel to my son.
As usual, your craftsmanship levels are off the charts. You would have truly been amazing in the past where people really valued and cherished intricate art like this. We obviously all cherish it on here, and you are undeniably one of the greatest craftsman who has ever lived, but I wish you could get even more recognition for your art. I hope you continue to work through your issues, and know that there are so many people who genuinely want to see you succeed in life.
I’ve been watching your videos for some time now. I even got my parents into some of your videos. It’s always worth the wait, and I love the effort you put in to pleasing your audience. Love you Bobby!❤️
Man, the amazing amount of happiness these dang videos bring to the world. So artistic but also the video production and script. Just all around the best videos.
The skit just for the foam board at 0:50 seconds is why I freakin love you, man. You just never know which direction your videos gonna go. Hope you're doing well, bud. I'm excited that I have so many videos to catch up on. Freakin hilarious as always, and phenomenal craftsmanship
For the cat, it looked like you used mod podge for the "glass". If you did you could probably use some bits of wet cotton around the window (like where glazing would be) since that glue is water soluble. Then put in your cat and reglue the window from the outside (using some tape or sticky tack to pull it in place.) If you used super glue (and it almost looks like you did on that one) you would have to take a blade and remove the glass. Alternately, it might be possible to remove the sign on the front, make a hole in the foam and fish your cat in from under the window. Then the sign would cover the "scar" (at least from the outside.
I'm sure you get this all the time, but you really are a Renaissance man. Your talent really has no bounds. Looking forward to part two where you put Shrodinger's cat in the house.
better help can help some, but everyone i know quit soon after signing up. Their therapists were all underqualified and had no idea how to connect with their patients
Not only am I looking forward to part 2 but I’m also hopeful for more mini builds like this from Bobby Duke. One of the most thought out and detailed projects I’ve seen. Love it!

You can just cut the window out and then add little sticks poking on the outside of the windows and carve out recessed lines for the sticks to nuzzle into. Then cover it with paint and clay.
Hey Bobby, I don’t know if you’ll see this comment but I just wanted to say that, I came back to this video because I am going through an extremely difficult time right now and your videos are very comforting to me. It was nice to hear you talk about how you struggle too because it feels good to know I’m not alone in mental health struggles. I admire your work and videos and it’s always good to see someone you admire be so honest about themselves. I really appreciate your content and I hope it gets easier for you, and I hope you have a good day/night ❤
You blow me away with your talent and humor. I’ve been able to build a Zelda wind waker wand, a maleficent walking stick then converted it into a fairy walking stick a few years latter, and D&D dunce chair for my daughter’s dice. I’m not as good as you but my kids liked them.
@@EmeraldCrafts130 I used four narrow blanks of basswood (the kind you get at a craft store), used a jigsaw to cut the main shape out of two planks then cut just a narrow long piece for both sides to give it some dimension, wood glued (with clamps) all four planks together then power sanded to my liking. Then just sprayed it white. I ran out of time but you could wood burn the design or get carving tools to carve out the curves. I ended up just using black sharpie because it was for my son’s Halloween costume. He loved it. I free handed my template but you could print one from google images. Mine ended up being too big because I thought of it more of a sword than a wand so a printed version might be better. Good luck. I did like the using the soft wood planks, it gave me more freedom to modify my design with just the sander and the sanding didn’t take very long.
@@Bethlam thank you so much. That’s really helpful. Wind waker is my dad’s favorite Zelda game. So I think it would be cool if I made him something from it.
Bobby Duke you are an amazing man! You are a special man! and a true inspiration. I love watching all of your videos but I mostly love your openness on your addiction, and recovery. I myself have been clean and sober for the last 12yrs and its no easy thing to work through, and you and never really simply healed. Its a daily maintenance and done 1 day at a time. I wish more UA-camrs were more vocal but its amazing to watch and experience the good, and beatiful things you bring to this world. Thanks for all that you do and keep em comin!
Concerning the cat: maybe cut out a section of the wall and cover the cut up with some pipes or an ac unit or a wiring box or something OR have the kitty chill on the hand railing of the deck. Study break
Your videos consistently deliver entertainment, but more importantly, comfort. I hope you see this and realize the impact you have made in so many peoples lives. I come from a family of weirdos, we have the same sense of humor as you and it's nice to see you being your true, authentic self. Thank you for all the laughs and the beautiful art. I realized when you were adding the doorknobs, mail slot, etc. that you not only have a talent that is so rare, but take immense pride in it. You are a true inspiration to so many. God Bless you, Bobby Duke. -Liam Childs, 24 years old, Castle Rock, CO
I can’t believe people still promote Better Help. Did we just decide to forget their data sharing incident? Or countless horror stories from people who’ve personally experienced this service? I respect you, Bobby, and this isn’t a personal attack. Just makes me sad to see it still being advertised by so many people I follow.
i agree. it’s terrible. better help support israel i found out the other day which makes it even worse. i can’t believe people are willing to take money from and promote such a shady pos company
Hello there Bobby, when I clicked to comment on this video It said that there was only 68 comments. Therefore, my comment is the 69th comment. Thank you Have a nice day.
I just wanna appreciate how good Bobby is at making videos. Like in a lot of crafts/art videos, unfortunately, people skip to the end to see the finished product. But Bobby makes it so out of pocket and hilarious throughout the entire thing that it makes you WANT to watch from start to end. I think Sanago (3D pen youtuber) also does this well with his interesting and funny commentary. I love to see this in artist videos cause I love art but have a short attention span.
Oh man, better help, really? They will sell your sensitive personal data including topics discussed in sessions. I'm a bit disappointed that such a wonderful work is sponsored by such a scummy company.
You're very talented and this is a great build. You don't need the voices. They make this video almost unbearable. I'm sure I'm in the minority for thinking that, but here we are.
5:26 - Welcome to the madness that is Miniatures. I got so excited when I saw you made a custom diorama! It looks amazing!!! Can't wait for part 2! You probably get this a lot, but seeing your videos, regardless of the content, really inspires me to get motivated to work on my own projects. I struggle with some health issues that set me back a bunch, but your videos give me the proper kick in the butt to start/continue.
So nice to see you back again. Missing you over the pond. Remember that you're never alone. Jazz X (The wheelchair person who made you a picture for Makers Central)
I just wanted to say I’ve been watching his videos since I was 16 and they have been an absolute delight I love his jokes, his art, just everything. I watch his video often they make me so happy, they help me when I’m sad or if I can’t sleep. I just wanted to say thank you for being such a lovely person and making cool art 💚💚💚
Missed you so much! This project is amazing and huge! My Dad built a victorian (sort of) dollhouse with me when I was a kid. Miniatures can be maddening but they dont have to be perfect. So glad you are doing well. Just keep going and never give up😊
Ive been struggling with sleeping recently due to stress and depression, but your videos are like a little happy place where i can escape from my feelings for a little bit. Ive been thinking about reaching out to a therapist again recently, and ive now set my mind to doing it, thanks to you, bobby. What im trying to say is, im very happy to have found your channel, thank you for being you.
Thank you, this was so wonderful and fun to experience your creativity and antics! I was at full attention the whole time and thanks for sharing your tips. I appreciate you Bobby for giving us old shut ins something positive, educational and encouraging. I saw the Motts Miniature Museum at Knotts Berry Farm (Cali) back in the 1960s, and have been hooked on mini's since the 1970s.
How does so much chaotic energy result in my feeling so calm and comforted. As always Im in awe of how much effort and detail you put into every part of ur work. Every upload is a moment of joy.

Can't wait for PART TWO!!!!
You can just cut the window out and then add little sticks poking on the outside of the windows and carve out recessed lines for the sticks to nuzzle into. Then cover it with paint and clay.
The Boy and the Heron was a great addition to the Ghibli movies!!
I cannot convey how absolutely floored i always am by your art. Always amazing and beautiful and unique.
I love your creativity. I love your openness about mental health. I love your humor.
I guess I love you 🥹. But as a friend, I ain't no home wrecker.😂
Love the Howl’s moving castle music at the end.
Also, Lofi girl is low-key a borrower. She’s just the right size
How is better help still kicking?
Cake from walmart was really relateable. made me feel like I finally had something in common with one of the greats.
The ghibli house is exquisite, and your personality & humour are priceless. Thank you for this.
Yesssssss I'm so excited to see that movie!!! 😊
You blow me away with your talent and humor. I’ve been able to build a Zelda wind waker wand, a maleficent walking stick then converted it into a fairy walking stick a few years latter, and D&D dunce chair for my daughter’s dice. I’m not as good as you but my kids liked them.
How did you build the wind waker wand? Been thinking of making one for my dad.
0:51 How did he get the workers in the gas station to play along 😂???
Proof that creatives with ADHD are a gift to the planet! ✨ Love this!
This is insanely good. Every bit of it. Specially the way you source your supplies 😂
Concerning the cat: maybe cut out a section of the wall and cover the cut up with some pipes or an ac unit or a wiring box or something
OR
have the kitty chill on the hand railing of the deck. Study break
You're like some sort of magical magic guy that does magical magic stuff with...stuff.
Almost makes me forget about your MOUSE ARMY!

So neat to hear where you get your inspirations from. You have such a creative mind… how you figure all this stuff out is beyond me. Talent!
I can’t believe people still promote Better Help. Did we just decide to forget their data sharing incident? Or countless horror stories from people who’ve personally experienced this service?
I respect you, Bobby, and this isn’t a personal attack. Just makes me sad to see it still being advertised by so many people I follow.
unfollow them. literally. if they refuse to stop supporting a shit business then unfollow them. it’s what i do
i agree. it’s terrible. better help support israel i found out the other day which makes it even worse. i can’t believe people are willing to take money from and promote such a shady pos company
*wild bobby appears*. I MUST CLICK!!!!!
Here is a good question: How does she get in and out of her apartment if there are no stairs or ladders to be seen?
She is trapped up there for eternity, destined to write for the rest of her existence
Irrelevant, just enjoy the art
The amount of detail is just wow. Especially if you look at all the details you don’t even mention. Crazy work and stupidly beautiful: I love it!!
It's beautiful Bobby! Also the gas station and hobby store folks seemed to have a lot of fun with this, you spread a lot of happiness, thank you ^^
I hope he just has a contract with Better help to do so many ads, better help sucks. Ive read a lot of horror stories from them.
right?? im new to the channel and was enjoying the video till the sponsorship but now i’m just…
i love booglebsoobrs. if you disagrees, you are wrong.
Only a guy with a small deck would say that.
Hello there Bobby, when I clicked to comment on this video It said that there was only 68 comments. Therefore, my comment is the 69th comment.
Thank you
Have a nice day.
😂
I just wanna appreciate how good Bobby is at making videos. Like in a lot of crafts/art videos, unfortunately, people skip to the end to see the finished product. But Bobby makes it so out of pocket and hilarious throughout the entire thing that it makes you WANT to watch from start to end. I think Sanago (3D pen youtuber) also does this well with his interesting and funny commentary. I love to see this in artist videos cause I love art but have a short attention span.
As a miniature artist and a huge Ghibli fan, this hits all the angles! Stunning work!
Oh man, better help, really? They will sell your sensitive personal data including topics discussed in sessions. I'm a bit disappointed that such a wonderful work is sponsored by such a scummy company.
but he gets money from it😢😢 why should he care that better help has harmed many people😢😢 he gets money!!!🙄
Uhm. How... how does one get to the second floor?
Imagination.
You're very talented and this is a great build. You don't need the voices. They make this video almost unbearable. I'm sure I'm in the minority for thinking that, but here we are.
For what it’s worth, I felt the same. Mad distracting.
I have that tiny bookstore model thing and it’s by far my favorite one I’ve ever done! It was super easy and actually came out looking really nice
don't use better help
just look up better help user data.
3:47 "Now it's time to whip out your caulk."
I freakin missed watching your channel, bud. I needed these laughs.
This looked like a lot of fun to make
Love the tatami mats you put over the wood floors on second floor under her desk etc.,
So nice to see you back again. Missing you over the pond. Remember that you're never alone.

Just keep going and never give up😊
Also the cat could be outside wandering around lol or curled up
Ive been struggling with sleeping recently due to stress and depression, but your videos are like a little happy place where i can escape from my feelings for a little bit. Ive been thinking about reaching out to a therapist again recently, and ive now set my mind to doing it, thanks to you, bobby. What im trying to say is, im very happy to have found your channel, thank you for being you.
It really does give Ghibli. Especially the Cat returns/whisper of the heart. And so much nostalgia again. Thank you for yet another amazing project!
I cannot explain how much I love this 😂 So much effort, building, filming, planning, editing, and I am sure much more. MASTERPIECE.
How does so much chaotic energy result in my feeling so calm and comforted. As always Im in awe of how much effort and detail you put into every part of ur work. Every upload is a moment of joy.
