    The pot support can also be locked into place - as shown in the instruction booklet - by rotating the base of two of the four feet below the two indendation marks. This gives additional stability.

    Sorry for the stupid question after you screw the Jetboil to the gas canister and use it, can you unscrew the Jetboil from the gas canister and seal the gas canister for later use.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  Рік тому +7

      No such thing as a stupid question here, Hasan. The canisters have what is called a Lindal valve which, once removed from the stove, reseals. This means you can attach and remove the canister as much as you want, making it easy for transport. ~ Ben

    Idk if this is a dumb question but once I'm done cooking what do I do with the left over propane? How do I store it to use later

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  7 днів тому

      You can just store it in your garage for next time, the cylinder is self-sealing so as you remove it the Lindl valve closes and retains the gas for another use. ~ Ben

    Ive bought this in the past and agree that it is a very good product however the only thing i feel would be good to see is potentially a slightly more efficient burner, With it on full power and boiling 1L of water in about 8 minutes for a cast iron pot ontop of the burner without the coil definetly goes through gas very qucikly.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  Рік тому +1

      The burner is certainly made to be most efficient when used with the Fluxring pots, when used solely as a stove it won't quite meet the performance of other stoves. ~ Ben

    I like it, but the piezo ignitor is rubbish. I've watched all sorts of videos about how to fix it and nothing works. Has been a dud since I bought it and I have to carry a separate ignition around. I really wish they could improve that side of it.

      @@SnowysOutdoors I also have a 1950s vintage car coffee percolator that is new in box. It plugs into the cigarette lighter and can be mounted on your car window sill. It is way too cool ... and dangerous ... to use. But I'll always keep it for it's curiosity factor.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  Рік тому +4

      Assuming you mean cooking food directly in the minimo and not heating it in a food grade pouch?
      If thats the case, ofcourse. The minimo is more suited to that due to the wider pot diameter and simmer control.
      The considerations would be to use a silicone or wooden utensil. Keep an eye on it and stir it regular for even heating and too prevent sticking.

    The pot support has a Lock and Unlock marking, I have not been able to figure out how it locks in place. In this video the presenter did not lock the pot support, can you direct me how to lock the pot support in place rather than just having it lay on the burner. Thanks!

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  Рік тому

      It just requires a small twist to lock the pot onto the burner, Bernie. If you firstly just line up the lock/unlock marks then twist the pot and burner in opposite directions about 1cm, it should lock together. ~ Ben

    I dont get it. Why people measure time how fast it boils 🤦🏻 its quite irrelevant as those figures are indoors at 20 Celsius with no wind. Try it in -20 and you will have 5-7 minutes figures. So it all depends on conditions, gas used etc. Noone will use this to boil indoors and care about a minute or two. 30 boils out of 100g cartridge? More like 12-15 if you are lucky 🤣

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  Рік тому +3

      It's something people look for to compare stoves. The tests are usually done in comparable conditions but we never suggest it would be the same in the real world given the number of variables. ~ Ben

    • @Chris66able
      @Chris66able Рік тому

      You easy get 20 to 35 boils from it in any conditions, but it is flimsy and cheaply made, the pot adapter is a pain to use. I use a SOTO amicus, small titanium mug, and a pot, much. lighter, compact, versatile, cheaper and only about 10-15 seconds slower.

    Great system and will be a last addition just as an extra option,esp at its hyped up price point! Biggest drawback to this system is that IF your burner breaks or malfunctions in any way….your screwed!! Can’t put the jetboil cup in an open flame if you had no other choice….so,an MSR pocket rocket w the MSR low down adapter you better off and $80 less!
