Without your further mechanics videos I would have not done as well on the paper as I did. Thank you so much for uploading those Mr Bicen, they were an absolute life-saver 🙏
That FM1 session save me honestly before the exam watching that and the "your turn" video made me so much more confident to smash this exam and I did!! Thanks again sir!!
Your revision session was phenomenal! I seriously thought I was going to fail my exam 3 days ago (I got an E in my last mock) but I purchased your revision session and I’m pretty confident I’m going to get an A. Thanks for all of your work.
Yeah no I'm in the same boat as you. I couldn't really get any more marks by the end so I counted up what I got and I'm also looking at around high 40s to 50, maybe reaching 55 with some luck 🤞 I'm annoyed cuz I'd usually be getting high 50s and low 60s on the past papers 😔
I was having a nightmare for the first hour. My brain stopped working during the first 3-4 questions and I ended up skipping parts of the first 5 questions and came back to it with 30 mins to spare and clutched up, answering everything apart from most of Q5. Thanks for the playlist, sir. Being a channel member so I could watch your FM1 videos was worth every penny.
@@iamthereforeitrytothink I’m glad I got Q7 b and c correct and I had basically no time to answer them. That was the turning point for me during the exam.
do you remember what all the values were in that question? I remember natural length=2a and maybe speed projected down was =sqrt(2mg). What was lambda?
Just my personal opinion - but I currently anticipate it will be higher than 2023, as I feel 2023's CP papers were more challenging. So keep pushing for the final option module to try and secure as many marks as you can there! :) Good luck!
@phantomdevil6834 Personally I think that is FAR too high, what are you basing that on? Yes, it was a bit easier than 2023, but even so it's never been close to that high.
Hi Mr Bicen, I have seen many of your videos. How should I prepare over the summer holidays ready for maths in year 12? I am currently in the last week of my GCSEs and I am hoping to take Maths, Chemistry, Physics and potentially Further Maths if my school offers the subject or even Economics. Please let me know - any advice plz!
I would advise picking a playlist to get your teeth into, and just start learning alongside the textbook! My recommendation is actually with either Chapter 1 of CP (complex numbers), or perhaps Chapter 5 (matrices). Both of these are great starting points. Complex numbers follows on really nicely from GCSE, whereas matrices will feel totally fresh/brand new - a whole new way of thinking about maths!
@@BicenMaths ok thanks I will definitely let you know my gcse grade and if i decide to pick it next year is further maths really that bad i heard it was the most hardest subject and apparently it is like university style maths at gcse i only did maths and not furhter maths
@@indiasingh6891 further maths is challenging but if you persist with it, I've personally found that it makes you a much much better mathematician than if you just did a-level maths. I only picked up further maths halfway through year 12 (after dropping economics earlier in the year & doing maths, comp sci & psychology); and before I picked it up I found the first few chapters of the y1 textbook boring and not as challenging, and didn't score very high grades in my mocks. after I picked up further maths, it really made me appreciate maths a lot more; and doing the extra maths practice that's required to go through core pure 1/2 and your 2 option modules has enabled me to become very confident with things like integration/differentiation (especially after doing things like hyperbolics, volumes of revolution and so on!) which are things normal maths students commonly struggle with. I'd say it enabled me to do very very well on the 1st pure maths paper a few days ago, and if you're looking to study maths or an adjacent subject like computer science at uni, most top universities are looking for an A* in maths at least. tl;dr pick further maths if you're planning to study maths or an adjacent subject to it like computer science etc at uni, and if you're willing to take the challenge & possibly learn regular maths content at the same time as further maths content (or your school might make you sit A-level maths in year 12 and then do A-level further maths in year 13). don't worry about not having done gcse level further maths - it does slightly help by introducing things like matrices and differentiation early on but it's not a huge boost. doing lots of questions, exercises & past papers will carry you to the top grades.
If it’s the question where the two balls collide and then one of them collides with a wall, you are correct in saying that there is 25% of KE left, but you had to give your answer in terms of m, u and e

how's further maths? what other a levels did you pick
When I sat the 2023 paper I got 64/75 i found it not that bad but this paper I probably scraped 50/75, I'm so angry I did so many stupid mistakes
