good job on the video, would be great if you can bring a decibel meter, or comment more on the NVH. I was just in a TLX with the ELS speakers, fantastic when the car is parked, but horrible on the highway since it is a Honda after all.
Any system only sounds as good as the speakers I'm listening too. I'm not riding in the LC 500 listening to Mark Levinson speakers. I'm sitting in my bedroom listening to what the Mark Levinson speakers sound like through my Vizio soundbar. Impossible to appreciate the sound of the Mark Levinson speakers but ill take your word for it.
I’m sure your To Do List is infinitely long and this content is your passion project and not your job, but it would be amazing to get your thoughts on today’s crop of EVs; Rivian, Lucid, Polestar, even the Cadillac Lyriq or Lexus RZ Thank you for the bevy of super high quality evaluations!!
My partner has the Mark Levinson in the Lexus NX. Im disappointed in that system too. Always feels like it needs adjusting. You gave it an A as well. I just stream music from my phone (wireless and corded) and no idea about the lossless stuff. But for someone who just likes nice audio, I find it lacking
I think if car with a premium sound system is going to have an actual subwoofer, then it should always have a separate control specifically for the subwoofer outside of treble, midrange, and bass.
I know sound is subjective, but the 2024 LC 500 audio system has been a huge let down for me. I feel like my 2023 Rav4 Prime has a better tune. The LC is just too bright at the front that it's harsh. To fix it I put the sound towards the back by two clicks, increase mids and base, and lower troubles all the way to the bottom. I'm open to any other suggestions folks have.
I've been saying for a long time, I don't think any Lexus models with ML have support for 5.1 audio. I've tested quite a few going back to the 2009 LS500 and they all failed. Like Charlie said though, most people won't even know or care.
That interior looks amazing. I like the sound but it lacks a bit sub bass which affects some music
This is too bad… Growing up, I was under the impression that all Lexus, Mark, Levinson, audio systems were best in class
They were in their older models, today”s they are slipping backwards.
The first Lexuses had Nakamichi sound systems. They were amazing.

Love your content man. Keep it up!
Great video. It'd be interesting if you guys could also compare this to the LC 500 coupe since it has different speaker locations in the rear.
Agree 100% - I think a review of the coupe sound system would be very welcome as I would expect that it would be less challenging to tune properly.

YESSSSSSSS! I've been waiting for a new Lexus sound test! Thanks DM!
great video
Would be nice if you could test the EQE Burmester.
The LC500 is a dream car!

Thanks! Working on Rivian, have the Polestar 2 this week, Lyriq and RZ are lower priority, Lucid is a reach but hopefully in the next year.

So are we just not going to talk about that C4 Corvette Mud Bogger??!

the V8 is the sound system
Lol, we used to say the same thing about the Mustang GT350

That's about all I could recommend as well.

That's strange, I figured older ones would support. But yeah, not a huge deal. I might swap that test out for a Dolby Atmos test soon.
