Love this scene, they should have left it in the film - it creates more chemistry between Jesse and Lestat. It would also stop those people from complaining about the lack of chemistry between the two characters. At 3:58 is that a kiss!?
He had feelings for Jesse but I don't think he realised it until he was order to kill her but he didn't need to be known to whole world he just needed the love of one person who truly understood him and wanted to truly be with him and like him for him but I think it him to lose her to realise his feelings and that all he needed was the love of the right person so in the end her turn her cause he realise his feelings and that Jesse like and understood him
Ur welcome but u could tell he like her he hated the talascman part but he let her go look at the way he watch her leave the alley way look at the way he says clever librarian look and the way the look at each other it's intense he never understood how precious and beautiful human is until he met her and that Marius was right that's why he got angry and showed her the worse part that she would have to kill people to survive he would give anything to be human
wtf were they thinking when they cut this? instead the movie made jesse seem like a obsessed thirsty(no pun) stalker of lestat who wasn't interested until the last 5mins
Damn that was terrifying and intensely hot and sexy, idiots this makes the movie even better. 3:59 The kiss the passion you can tell he loves her damn I love this
it really didn't matter if it was different from the book, Lestat was still a badass and the thing with Jesse was better than any vampire story we see nowadays. It's called adaptation, it doesn't have to follow a book 100% and you're wrong for judging it based only on that.
It's a shame that the directors cut out all these deleted scenes. In truth, even with the deleted scenes the movie wouldn't have received much accolade, but it would have made the movie a tad bit better and "okay" rather than terrible which was the final version. A majority of these scenes are pivotal points and important transition scenes for the characters. In this scene, we understand Jesse's motivation to meet Lestat and it ties back to her dream at the beginning of the movie. I also think this scene adds depth to her character and makes her a bit more relevant.
I agree 101Xtina its a shame this wasn't left in. It definitely brings the viewer into the erotic mystique of Lestat. The breathing alone establishes how much Jesse wants Lestat and connection to his world and I think it was the start of a kiss they should've shown as well.
All of these other directors are they even trying ? Since todays vampire movies doesn't ven come close to this one. Lestat is a vampire not some sparkly prick.
They should re-release this on blu ray & DVD. Put ALL scenes taken out. Regardless the reasons they took them out. It was a good movie for the time. But, having those deleted scenes put back would be great to see from start to finish.
@VHammondOfficial Yes that is very true :) I love the relationship between Jesse and Lestat and I knew there was more to it then what the film had shown!
I agree totally that thay should of left this whole sceen in the film, Maybe one day for some special edition thay could add it in hopefully, :-) . Lestat & Jesse, forever and alway's, :-) .
For those of you talking about love story between jesse and lestat are mistaken. In the books he is gay. In the movie he wanted a companion due to being lonley as a vampire. She was looking for answers. He saved her because he wanted companionship not love.
Good. I need to comment because I'm tired of some comments. Yes. This film is a very bad adaptation. Yes in the books Lestat's great love is Louis. On the other hand, Lestat is not gay, he is bi. He literally falls in love with a witch in one of Anne Rice's books but chooses not to transform her. I remind you that vampires fall in love with the soul in Anne Rice, and that there is no real exclusivity. The fact is that this movie is not the books. It's not even a real sequel to the film Interview with a Vampire. Consider it simply fanfiction inspired by the books. All that to say, let people love these two dammit. Stop trying to twist the film to make it seem like it's not a romance because it clearly is in this film. Stop tinkering with it to make it more like the books, it's not the books. In this film, Lestat loves Jesse, vice versa, and that's it. Let people enjoy this gothic romance quietly, dammit.
her hair bothered me so much in this scene. looks so sloppy like it wasn't straightened properly or there was no effort put into it. But I'm more pissed that they cut anything from this scene. From her explanation to why she wants to meet Lestat and turn, to the flying scene... it gave everything between them context. The final scene made her obsession to turn look like an obsession and nothing more, and it made it as if his adoration for her came completely out of the blue. They really need to remake this movie.
This Scene should have been in the movie i mean seriously why take it out its when Lestat first started to like Jesse even though he doesnt want her to be a vampire
He liked her anyway look at when she left the alleyway he watch her leave look at the way he said clever librarian he like her alright but this just prove it
@@charlenerafferty3534 he knew her before they met didnt he? I mean he knew her name and that she's part of the Talamasca....unless its his vampire powers or the Talamasca is well known like Ghost Adventures xD
Liked the movie but they should have followed the book, in which Lestat did not betray Akasha. That may be why they did not kiss because in the book he never even met Jesse.
This comment was not meant for you 101Xtina .. and I watched 3:38 again looks like a kiss or one that they both thought of .. wish it had of gone further. *smiles* Loved this movie, loved this scene.
Love this scene too and it never should have hit the cutting room floor. I can watch it over and over again, besides, it would give me something else in the movie that I haven't already memorized .. I know this movie from beginning to end, so I disagree with your review of this scene.
A stand alone movie I thought this was pretty good, I had(have) this version of the movie with this scene in it, definitely should have left it in, it gave more background into the development of the chemistry of the two of them
I know some people like the movie despite the book being different but please understand that this movie is homophobic because the real romantic flying scene is suppose to be between Lestat and LOUIS. Louis is Lestat's primary, forever, romantic interest. Not a subtext but actual complete canon romance. despite Lestat's romance with the millions of other vampires, he has had no romance with Jesse.
So what? It's not the exactly the same as the book? Who cares if it wasn't to be for Jesse.... Even though there wasn't much chemistry between them in the movie, but it still showed a little romance, the way he looked at her and the way she told him that she wanted to be with him and understands how he's feeling and she doesn't wanna be with because he's a rock star or wants to be there while he's recording... She just wants to be there for him, because she wants to be lestats companion which to me.. It's a lovely and romantic gesture.
Yes I've already seen that article and honestly idc, I liked the way it turned out and I know that it wasn't 100% like the book which I thought was great because it would be shit otherwise at least I think so.
They thought it's was too long the scene i thought it fit well we'll the filmmaker s don't know how to make movie s anyway the whole movie wasn't great becides a cool soundtrack the movie could of been better with a better filmmaker director even if the music was cool that I thought was a good soundtrack .
I hate that they push Jesse and Lestat together in the movie. They barely met in the books, she was just an fan in the books, and only becomes a vampire by accident. Makes me so mad. Her background history is awesome but let’s ignore it bc she wants to be with Lestat and she’s not afraid to die or whatever. Fuck it
But in the book there was nothing between Jesse and Lestat, in fact Mael was in love with her, this shit movie even depicts Khayman as a zombie like Vampire, I hope they remake this movie and not make it look like a B rated film.
Charlene Rafferty the only things that this movie and the book even have in common are names, rock music, and the fact that Lestat managed to get a bunch of people killed. I get taking creative licenses, but this movie is absolute crap.
Love this scene, they should have left it in the film - it creates more chemistry between Jesse and Lestat. It would also stop those people from complaining about the lack of chemistry between the two characters. At 3:58 is that a kiss!?
Grace_Miles yeah lestat / Jesse they do have very great chemistry
Thank u they liked each other they didn't have to love each other
I believe it was a kiss
Agree
3:58
People can have their Edward Cullen and Bella Swan
I'll always love Jesse Reeves and Lestat❤️
Everything they deleted in this movie could have made the movie much better and made more sense.
I agree 💯
A gree
The dialogue is so fucking mature. It's better than alot of modern movie dialogue. I love it.
Oh wow they actually kissed they made a huge mistake not keeping that in
Charlene Rafferty hey can u give me more details about lestat and jesse? I am very confused about those two relationship.

They should have casted somebody to play Louie in this movie
I prefer this version better than the final version.
trudy101 same
Yes I agree. Gave Jessie more of an understanding for audiences and gave her a chance to act
Me too
Same here
It was a mistake to cut the scene. Love the movie.
Chris Donato
Agreed
wtf were they thinking when they cut this? instead the movie made jesse seem like a obsessed thirsty(no pun) stalker of lestat who wasn't interested until the last 5mins
LOL Lestat.

A very beautiful scene. I regret it was cut from the movie.

LOVE THIS DAMN MOVIE

Me too
Omg my heart they actually kissed
Lmao when? you mean almost?
Uhhh kissed when? Barely
Look at this way I don't think he realised he really had feelings for her until the end when he knew he was going to lose
True
Still a better love story than twilight.
I agree
This inspired twilight lol
Same I agree
Did you know Michael Sheen of Underworld came out in it? Its not as bad you know
It's a darker story than Twilight.
oh my god, if they had left in all the deleted scenes, this movie would have been totally velvet. i am so pissed...
i love this scene gives me chills
This is the only scene of the deleted ones they should have included in the final product. The motivation for the lead character is explained here lol
I agree 101Xtina its a shame this wasn't left in. It definitely brings the viewer into the erotic mystique of Lestat. The breathing alone establishes how much Jesse wants Lestat and connection to his world and I think it was the start of a kiss they should've shown as well.
vampire king and queen forever 🌹
yes 100 percent agree. love it . jesse and lestate are amazing together:). eternal love forever . 🧛💋
what's the name of the song that plays at the end when they was flying
All of these other directors are they even trying ? Since todays vampire movies doesn't ven come close to this one. Lestat is a vampire not some sparkly prick.
They should've left that in the final version. It's so much better
This is what I have been looking for 🦋
Oh god, thanks for this

He saved her by turning her that said it all he might not love her but he had feelings for her
Absolutely Beautiful love scene 🦋
I agree totally that thay should of left this whole sceen in the film,

They should remake the movie with all these scenes that are deleted would have made more sense, as its good movies

I thought Lestat was bi, as he could be with women as often as men. Did he truly love Louis though?
@@Iluthra no. He didn't.
Should not have cut so much of the movie it actually looked cut up
All the delted scenes should of stayed I wish they could find a way to add them ack in and rerelease the movie in memory of Aaliyah
Omg yes this would have been amazing!
So, should of kept this scene in the movie.

I’m so confused at the comments. I have this movie on DVD and this scene has always been in it. Lol
Yeah I definitely remember seeing this the first time I watched the movie
Me too that’s why I’m confused
This movie is like the unglorified version of Twilight.
me gusta demasiado esta película
apparently the filmmakers intended to shoot a music vid or even a brief skit, given the amount and length of deleted scenes. beyond belief, mang 😐
I have only one question - why in the film there is not a kiss between Lestat and Jesse? 😭
Liked the movie but they should have followed the book, in which Lestat did not betray Akasha. That may be why they did not kiss because in the book he never even met Jesse.

It needs a directors cut, but with Alia dying. It will never happen.
Hello
This scene its still apearing in the movie its a lie i've watched the film over and over and the scene its there. You can go watch it online free
Only part of this scene is in the movie. The scene with the explanation of why she's following him doesn't appear in the DVD.
