This review helped me make the decision to purchase these IEMs At first, i wan't a huge fan, but after 2 weeks with them I was completely in love. I realized that i needed the smallest eartips, not medium ones - that made a big difference in the quality of the sound and comfort of fit. Paired with my chord mojo, these little things are like drugs. Tiny little 7mm drivers that are literally on par with my Mr.Speakers AlphaDog Planar set and my Cleer Nexts - but even if the sound stage is slightly smaller, we're talking a difference in driver size of over 30mm and I find that to be utterly ridiculous considering now how portable my hifi has become. I'm not joking when I say that i've taken them off, and kissed them. I have only ever done that with my genelec ones.. If you're on the fence about these, don't hesitate - but be patient when you get them and try them on in different angles until you find what feels good (for me, i have small ears so i pull my earlobe down a little and then push the IEM slightly in for it to really get a good seal) Also, i hated the cable that came with it so i ordered one from Null - and not only is it more comfortable but it sounds way better and has no microphonic leakage. The default one from sennheiser is ugly, uncomfortable, and has microphonic leakage which is really annoying

I think it would be fascinating to watch a video where you justify or at least explain the reason why some IEMs can cost so much. You have a fairly unique perspective on this having been involved in the creation of a handful of them.
Market positioning is what it's called. Unfortunately that's an unavoidable truth, though flagship items often indeed have something to them that makes them more costly to manufacture (like the IE900s 5-axis milled body and machined aluminium parts for example) it's usually in no relation to the premium you have to pay for them and there's more and more 1-2000+$ iems with cheap resin shells plus a little shiny nonsense using off the shelf Sonion/Knowles drivers (Custom tuned drivers! - yeah, right...). On the other hand there's technology demonstrator type items. But they're rare and that's usually a bad justification to keep the price as is for long periods after the technology became more mainstream and much cheaper to manufacture, but it's often done nontheless. The last type is manufactory/semi-artisanal style items. They're often crap and rarely a really solid product nowadays. If the manufacturer has tradition some such things are absolutely worth it but I'd look closely and carefully. After all most comes down to marketing and the price is a substantial part of it. Do a search for marketing positioning strategies if you're interested, it's an interesting field.
Man, when properly driven, flagship IEMs and headphones provide an experience that feels like real life, especially when you find the right tuning for yourself.

This is very interesting to me. I spent probably a solid 8 hours in e-earphone and sampled pretty much every IEM, and although I eventually went with a Sony (M9), the IE600 was my second choice, out of over 100 models I tried, and considering the price, probably actually a better value. (And.. it was the one one from that company that I liked). I supposed that the IE900 was supposed to be "better", but I liked the sound of the IE600 much better.
congrats this video very much hit the algorithm, i wasn't subscribed (i did not realize your old channel died) and this video hit my funny recommended already 100k (a second time) soon?!?!?!?
I have the IE 300 and they are passable. This is my second set the first stopped working 2.5 weeks in. Can't wait to try to the IE 600 and put the 300's away
Worth getting any IEM or headphones that give 2 years of replacements or repairs. I had some Audeze EL8s which stopped after a couple of weeks. Because they'd been discontinued I was given the option of a straight swap to LCD2cs (or something else). Even with phones too, some places do 2 years cover at no extra cost.
What the hell, I've been checking your channel and I see no updates since 2 months. How can I be so dumb? Immediately subscribed. I will post a comment on your previous videos that there is a new channel.
you didn't mention the ie6/7/8 series that came out way back in 2008. the ie8s (imho) were dark, bloated, muffled, horrid. the ie7 was awesome - it was balanced and the mid range was truly something else. seems like the ie600 is continuing this trend for senny.
I've tuned my ie900 to Harman target in fully parametric EQ using a guide made by Oratory. Now my headphones sounds a lot better than ie600 because they tuned perfectly. Checkmate, Crin :)
Had issues with the IE600. They get light use at home and I treat them like my babys but the right hand side driver keeps failing. I confirmed it was the right driver as I changed cables and change amp/dac and the issue was no sound coming out the right driver but it was on the left. On my 3rd pair now (under warranty)and still not sure what the issue is, but it seems to always be the same problem and that is the right hand side driver just stops working. My latest pair while listening the other night the sound coming out of the right drivers started flickering on and off like it was heading on its way out again. Then I noticed the issue seems to be affected by me moving my head gently. Then discovers wen I put my fingers on the port hole sounds stops coming out. The strange thing is the other side so the left hand driver when I block the port hole the speaker still works. Even stranger is the day after neither were affected by blocking(with my finger) the port hole. Just waiting for the right hand driver to fail again. Had plenty of IEMs and never had a issue like this but wondering if anyone has had a similar issue. It is a shame because they are my favorite IEMs in terms of sound and confort. Gutted.
I had this problem too with my first pair, are you sure it wasn't the cable? Got my pair replaced from drop, but am worried that the replacements will have the same problem... Might just fully return them if this is the case, really expected more from a $700 product
@@Nero-xv Well I did rule this out by using the balanced cable and still no sound. I even tried swapping the left cable to the right driver and viceversa and confirmed no sound from right driver(one with red colour). Still using this last pair but starting to suspect the fault may be started from a combination of the mmcx connector and the cable stiffness near the connector(around the ear section) But not sure 🤔
I have the IE400pro. When on stage (I play bass guitar), I prefer these over my Dunu Titan S and Letshuoer S12 Pro or my KZ SZ10 pro X. The detail is so much better when I make my in-ear mix. However, when I listen to music that has been produced, mixed and mastered... I like the other IEM's so much better. The IE400pro is my least favorite for that purpose. I appreciate and respect the effort that's put into the reviews, but unfortunately there's not much to be found on the IEM needs of musicians. My last comment is in general of course.

IE 600 is not a bass monster. It's rather neutral (but does have a satisfying bit of heft). You can't listen to the FR chart. Hope you get to try the IE 600 in person, you'll be a believer. Cheers
The mids sound like that on purpose, it's the signature sound for their IEMs and the fans are the ones who are buy the IEMs. Just like there are people who like the Harman sound, despite many of them sounding quite shouty and often ruining the tonality for several instruments, there are people who enjoy the signature "Sennheiser" sound for the mids. I saw a lot of discussion about it for the Sennheiser IE300, which are pretty good.
The IE 600 has a vocal quality that is hypnotic in your ear but never shouts in your ear. That usually translates to good brass reproduction too. Sounds like you'd enjoy them if given the opportunity to try them out!
no, 700 bucks for some electronics you use to listen to music is only something someone who is really invested in sound should consider getting. Without knowing this I'd say nobody should get this since it's financially not the best thing to spend your money on.
got a chance to demo the IE600 in store yesterday, boyyy is it a bass canon, reminds me of sony headphones like the Z7 and 7506. If you're coming from Sennheiser open backs then it's gonna be a shock to the system. I feel like cheaper IEMs like the ER2XR and blessing 2/3 does bass and even midrange better than Sennheiser. Their IE series lacks ear gain for some reason unlike their headphones. Anywho that's my impression, hopefully senneheiser can improve on this since I find their in-ear design to be super comfortable!
since you didn't like the others if you want to donate one it would be awesome because here at 🇧🇷 I've always been curious about how it would be but they are very expensive
@@tusharsuresh5897 Is this something that can be measured directly? I know that impedance curves of BA IEMs usually look much worse (but that shouldn't be an issue with a decent source).
@@b0nz1official timbre can not be measured, just like soundstage, and detail retrieval. At least not now anyways. It's something you have to experience and listen to
@@mikeythanos Well resolution and soundstage are the result of the impulse function and therefore very difficult to measure. But timbre is just overtones and that's super easy to measure.

I know its almost a sin to be speaking of wireless headphones around a god of audio but i love music during work or school so i would like something i can easily take them off when talked to. Any suggestions? (From anyone)
How would you rate / compare the IE600 tuning, stage, etc. to the UM MEST MKII? or 64 Audio? I ask because those are 2 IEM's I own and use really often. I'm looking for an IEM in IE600 price range that I can use in more of a portable use: running, hiking, biking....And are pretty compact and fit in the ear very snug; like the Shure IEM's, they help with wind noise.
Late to the game, I am. I'm getting mine this week. It was on sale at various vendors. So, unless Sennheiser is coming out with a much improved version soon, I think I'll feel very lucky. BTW I love your comparisons to other headphones! Very, very useful. Any additional thoughts a year out???
how big is the stem of these iem's? Reason I ask is I need to use those long ear tips to prevent occlusion effect when I speak. I speak a lot while I monitor my voice...

I wish I had place like that close to me!
good choice, M9 is just solid all around
congrats this video very much hit the algorithm, i wasn't subscribed (i did not realize your old channel died) and this video hit my funny recommended already
100k (a second time) soon?!?!?!?
0:42 “peace of mind, chaos for your wallet” sums up me watching crin channel
Crin, PLEASE tell me that at 0:23, you intentionally did that table slap in time with the previous music.
I'm getting the feeling that crinacle just likes boosted treble and anything else sounds "unnatural"
Well, he does listen on relatively low volume.
More IEM reviews please !
0:41 "peace of mind, c h a o s for your wallet" LMAO
I'm just here for the comedy tbh. Crin is hilarious.
Same, but then the comedy got me into watching this video on a Quarks and wallet empty while planning to cop the CRA/SSP next.
I need that IEM, really interested in the 9k treb in a IEM
Bought these and wow, especially for classical complexity that my 7hz Timeless struggles with (still love my Timeless!)
“Cuz every time I think about it, can’t stop thinkin bout it”. ❤️
1:58 "oh" *chef kiss* "Maruonn..."
We just witnessed Crin's Neapolitan heritage leaking out.
Crin è uno di noi, ragazzi.
OK, when will we see an IE*00 x Crin colaboration??
you didn't mention the ie6/7/8 series that came out way back in 2008. the ie8s (imho) were dark, bloated, muffled, horrid. the ie7 was awesome - it was balanced and the mid range was truly something else. seems like the ie600 is continuing this trend for senny.
I've tuned my ie900 to Harman target in fully parametric EQ using a guide made by Oratory. Now my headphones sounds a lot better than ie600 because they tuned perfectly. Checkmate, Crin :)
I'm glad I didn't pull trigger on IE900 back in November. thanks Crin for your recommendation
What did you buy
=IT'S THE CABLE
......I WAS CHANGING PLACES LEFT AND RIGHT....AND *LEFT* STARTED TO LOSE GRIP!!!!
Has this iem 'inflated' their driver count like KZ did?
It's a single dd
I have the IE400pro. When on stage (I play bass guitar), I prefer these over my Dunu Titan S and Letshuoer S12 Pro or my KZ SZ10 pro X. The detail is so much better when I make my in-ear mix. However, when I listen to music that has been produced, mixed and mastered... I like the other IEM's so much better. The IE400pro is my least favorite for that purpose.
I appreciate and respect the effort that's put into the reviews, but unfortunately there's not much to be found on the IEM needs of musicians. My last comment is in general of course.
okay. subscribed. I found your giant IEM review thing after getting back into IEMs after 5 years. I rock 64audio u18t and the original Noble Audio k10. Let me know if you have any reqs.
nowhere to go w smth like a18t, sure ve erlkonig better and many headphones etc but not worth imo w a18t in hand
unless youre an audio professional and want best sound possible, then nuit etoilee is your next device
At least they fixed the pinna, but still the amount of bass is ridiculous. I hoped it would be HD600 in IEM form, guess I gotta keep looking tho
HD600 really lacks bass. The extreme opposite is not ideal either. And as long the bass doesn't bleed into the mids, better to have than to not.
@@humanbass I find my HD600 to have the perfect amount of bass. Not too much, but definitely not too little.
Sounds like you'd enjoy them if given the opportunity to try them out!
how about mackie iem ?
@@EricPalonen how do they compared to the IE 900s?
Im glad it’s good, but I am also mad it’s not an hd800 successor / new flagship headphone
Without knowing anything about me, do you think I should buy this?????
no, 700 bucks for some electronics you use to listen to music is only something someone who is really invested in sound should consider getting.
Without knowing this I'd say nobody should get this since it's financially not the best thing to spend your money on.
Sennheiser and 600 never miss :D
Vs the original Monarch, same price, how it compares?
What about KZ iems/tws ? do you have any review on them?
Well, he didn't like the kz iem.
He kind of hate the v shape tuning.
@@jk20047027 and the fact that all of them sounds pretty much the same
Crinacle = 🐐
My love of headphones started when I saw Pharrell with a pair of $10,000 Sony Qualia 010. 😍
still using ie80, too lazy to change🌚
My guy, how have I gone my whole life without having seen your reviews? You're based af.
SOUNDS. Good?
That’s. Not. Possible?
Wait. It’s actually good?
Whoa!
got a chance to demo the IE600 in store yesterday, boyyy is it a bass canon, reminds me of sony headphones like the Z7 and 7506.
I dont care what Sennheiser release as long as the hair is perfectly intact. Which it is today.

absolutely loving the jacob collier cameo in the intro
Is it DJ Quads playing in the background?? Man... The memories. Fun times...
lol, it says HK57 on the patreon list but you said HK47, just thought I'd point it out. Great video :D
But can Sennheiser fix MY depression??
Off topic but what's the background music here? It sounds really Proleter like.
since you didn't like the others if you want to donate one it would be awesome because here at 🇧🇷 I've always been curious about how it would be but they are very expensive
Pse mano comprar fone no brazil e uma piada kkkkkk
@@nathanr.4804 aqui tá osso
ah our old mate senny
This might be the iem to make me get back into carrying wired iems or using them period. Single dynamic is king
Out of curiosity: May I ask what's the general advantage? (I've owned and listened to BA and dynamic driver IEMs before)
@@b0nz1official ba generally has terrible timbre compared to the majority of dd iems
But timbre is just overtones and that's super easy to measure.
is the 600 better than the more expensive 900s?
No it's not better than the ie900
I found the background music really distracting for some reason. Maybe it was just this track, I kept noticing it turn off and on.
thanks for the review. may i ask, i have a pair of sennheiser ie200. what is better for me please? a dragonfly cobalt dac to couple with my current iems, or buy a pair of ie600?
Ayy, we got our sponsors back. Congrats crin.
I can’t find the video where Crinacle talks about his favourite Sennheiser headphones! Did he delete it?
Im trying to get an IEM for gaming and daily use such as music and such. Which IEM would you guys recommend in all price ranges from budget to luxury. Thanks!
I know this doesn’t have anything to do with tuis video but i need to find a good, decent, low bass, fine wireless headphone for on the go convenience. I know its almost a sin to be speaking of wireless headphones around a god of audio but i love music during work or school so i would like something i can easily take them off when talked to. Any suggestions? (From anyone)
Final Ze3000
Hello, which iem would you suggest for mixing and mastering?
Thank you!
Why no mention for another flagship DD IEM by Sennheiser's neighbor, Beyerdynamic?
I had my doubts, I’ve always liked a neutral ish bass and mids, but the ie600 has converted me
Can anyone tell me what is the background music playing from 5:00 onwards ? Have been trying to find that track for a long long time.
looking good my crin :)
how big is the stem of these iem's? Reason I ask is I need to use those long ear tips to prevent occlusion effect when I speak. I speak a lot while I monitor my voice...
