I used to work at Disney's Hollywood Studios, since our breaks were around 1-2 hours depending on your work day I got to ride a Rockin Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror and a bunch of others all the time. It was the BEST

It's probably the most intense ride in Disney World at the mmoment. A roller coaster in the dark with rotating cars is not for those who get motion sick. Seeing the people leave the building looking absolutely wasted from the ride is pretty funny though

Whenever this ride is open, they need to take a page from the Rock n Roller Coaster and play random songs from the mixtape. Update: clearly they had the same idea in mind at the time. However, in the unlikely case that I sparked a light bulb for this choice........might need some folks at Disney to offer me at least some tickets or something lol.

I actually saw this prototype in real life. The track has been there for more than two years already. I cycled there (to the Vekoma factory) in 2018 I believe and this track was there. Didn't see the trains though.
Fun fact: Universal is currently building a theme park called Universal Epic Universe which is set to open in 2025. There's going to be a Nintendo Land with an indoor Mario Kart ride!
Just got home from a 11 day trip to Florida (which turned into 14 and is a whole other story 🤣) which included a week at WDW. Got to ride this 3 times and it's incredible. It's honestly as good or even better than Tron: Lightcycle Run. Easily 1 of the 3 best rides at WDW.
“Controlled spinning” is usually swapping between free spinning and braking the spinning and stopping it. This is fully controlled spinning where it is powered and Disney can choose where to point the car at every point on the track.

@@MG-qz9ik No it’s not. Mummy was built by Premier and has a LIM launch. Gringotts was built by Intamin and uses friction wheel drive tires as its method of propulsion. The gringotts ride vehicle platform yaws in sync with the ride. GOTG while built by Vekoma will have a lot more in common with gringotts than gringotts will have in common with the mummy
@@rufftastic it’s definitely going to be a longer ride and it’s built on a larger scale including the show building. Gringotts is a little over 500 meters in length. I haven’t seen any stats on GOTG yet for track length but I’m sure it’s longer
Quite simply, because they had the space for the massively large building that this ride is requiring. The Universe of Energy was already an absolute huge building, but then they went and built a massive new second building for it.
Disney has to be particularly careful with where they put their Marvel themed attractions in Florida due to the existing Marvel island at Universal Orlando.
Though they may 'not' be family members, I don't see the need to wear the mash OUTSIDE in the SUN and in the WIND being that those are conditions that the virus cannot spread.
Don’t see why you would be needing a mask testing a ride system like this. You’re outdoors and moving at a considerable clip. It’s not space ranger spin or something.

It goes 60mph but the gforce is more because you are in an enclosed space, the ride also uses loud music too suppress the noise of the coaster so you can’t tell when you slow down and turn or spin. Amazing engineering
I don’t mean to be a dick. But Escape from Gringotts uses very similar (if not the very same) technology, and has been doing it since 2014. Idk how “Groundbreaking” this is.

What I like is the vehicles are huge and spacious which means it can accommodate larger folks.
I just love how they're using the family boomerang as a testing platform for the omnicoaster.
