Tbf, I basically wrote a Shrek/Shadow the Hedgehog fanfic once when an english teacher gave the class an assignment to write an original story. I saw memes/art of this ship and I just ran with it. The story wasn't explicit, but it definitely had dramatic soap opera vibes and Donkey died iirc. I got a 100

In fairness, Shrek is an ideal man if you think about it. He has a house and property, knows how to cook, has a good sense of humor, he's great with kids (hell he has three of em), he's empathetic and sensitive, he has a social life... hell, he's not even ugly, he's just fat and bald. He looks great, he's all big and dumpy and he rocks it
