I’m so sorry for all your losses this year. That happened to me. I stopped having contractions after 27 1/2 hours. My uterus collapsed at that point. ❤❤❤

Oh no Nollie! I was terrified as I was maneuvering this kid and hoping nothing would damage her uteri’s. I can’t even imagine that for you❤️ I’m sorry! It’s one of those unexpected complications that are so hard

Lety we had a doe do that recently! Tempest was pushing with a not open cervix! It DOES take time to help them dilate. Going too fast will kill the doe causing ruputure. You knew that and took your time which was perfect. The doe is the first priority and Ava is alive because of you. ❤❤❤❤

Thank you, it was the hardest thing, seeing her in pain but knowing that I had to do it slowly and give her time to rest in between. I’m glad she is doing better now, but it was a sad few weeks since then 😔
Thank you for always being there willing to help

I had the same thing happen last year with a first freshener. Back Feet were hanging out for at least 10 min. I pulled him and it was so hard. Thankfully after swinging him and stimulating he began breathing and came back to us. So sorry for your loss!

    After this
    - Ava had grain
    - Nutri-drench
    -probiotics
    - Warm molasses water
    - fresh hay
    - clean kidding stall to regain her strength.
I didn't include everything, or I would have a 46 min video. Just know I took care of her because she is "my girl", her nick name is "little girl"

That is what terrified me, when I realized the baby was dead and I wasn’t able to get it out, I seriously thought I needed to try everything because she wasn’t going to make it if I had to drive her to the vet.
It was nerve wracking but I’m thankful that she made it ❤️

If their breech u have to get them out fast or they around. So sorry letty poor girl it's been a rough year.
Your going to have to start checking your does more. I know u hate to do it but this is the results.
Always look at the toes regular toes up breech toes down.
Do not beat yourself up over this. It happens, live and learn, make changes so it doesn't happen again.
Oh my friend, big hugs, it's not been your year. I'm always here if u ever need to talk

    • @TheHeavenlyHomestead

I don’t know if the video portrays the amount of work I did, but here are a few things that maybe you missed.
1- I did check her, even before the 30 minutes.
2- she wasn’t dialating and I did it manually and if you know the process it’s time consuming and really painful for the doe.
3- this result happened because a mal positioned kid doesn’t push on the cervix so it’s not stretching not dilating.
4- I knew it was breach I checked the hooves, that is why I pulled.
5- because of her mal positioned the pushes were not effective so her cervix was closed and thanks to my help dialating she was able to pass it and didn’t go septic and killed Ava.
I think you know that Crystal at blue cactus with all her experience has lost more than one baby during birth, and I also hope you understand that your comment is not constructive, it’s very hurtful to specially knowing that I explained everything during the video.
I expect this kind of comment from a viewer that is passing by but not you.
Armchair goat people think you can fix everything but unfortunately you can’t, trust me they were both going to die if I didn’t intervene following the timeline and procedures recommended.
I’m sorry you feel that way, I just wanted to clarify things in case you mossed all my text and explanations.
      God bless

@TheHeavenlyHomestead I'm so sorry I didn't mean for it to sound bad. I know no matter what u do stuff can happen I was only commenting on the points and u did them all right. Like I said I'm so sorry and yes like I said stuff just happens sometimes.
It was ment as a positive not a negative.

    • @TheHeavenlyHomestead
      @TheHeavenlyHomestead  5 місяців тому +1

If you would have watched you would have seen that I did, unfortunately when there is a tangled up baby there is not enough pressure on the cervix, so no hand is getting in there until I manually dislate her.
If you ever done it, you know it takes a lot of time, and is painful for the doe.
She was never going to push her out, that’s why I helped her, it took a lot of work to get her to dislate enough to get the baby out.
