Thank you a lot!!. Really helpful, all the other videos I found for this song are top view and is hard to see the details, and I like how you break down in sections, great work, amazing talent.
Thanks so much for your videos. For clear and simpler ways to play it and even with notations 🤯 God bless youuu. P. S. You've been helpful ever since I started playing drums at our church this year in PH thank youuuu❤
Yes, it helps me so much! I always like to get close as it is written although I do not read music. then I like to make it my own. God surely spared no talent when he gave yours! Awesomely done!
I like your worship drumming videos. I am not a drummer but I love percussion especially complicated and pleasing to the ear percussion. The "worship" angle is nice because there are many of us who appreciate percussion regardless of genre (I like jazz, rock, pop, r&b, and yes worship music too!). Thanks for your hard work and obvious passion on this one. Brought tears to my eyes. Fabulous performance!
This was awesome and really helped me pick up the original feeling and idea of this song. I find it hard to memorise or learn it all, especcialy when playing a whole service, so this kind of videos with notations help me a lot. Many thanks from the netherlands :)
I'm really glad to hear it! Absolutely, catching the feel of the song is much more important than nailing it note-for-note in a service. Lovely country! God bless 😊
Amen. I sang this one time in Filipino service but the female version, A very powerful worship song 🙏 I love your playing God bless you and your team🙏💕
Excellent tutorial! Thank you. I’ve been listening to this for days trying to understand the timing. This video explains a lot. The timing on this is tricky. Keep up the good work👍
I agree with Blutch. The notation was so helpful for me! I'm a beginner and have been thrown into playing at my church. Some of what you played is beyond my skills, but I am hopeful to be able to do half of it! (Maybe I'll just play your right hand strokes with my TWO hands. :-)) Thanks again, and i hope you keep doing more of these!
GOD is so good because HE gave you amazing talent to play drums for HIM and for the church. I want to be like you. For the LORD. May GOD truly bless you, your family and your church family. GOD bless
Hello! That's a Tama Hyperdrive Superstar kit (10/12/16/22) with Evans coated G2s on. I switch between clear and coated now and then! I can't remember what was on the kick at this point, but I've been using an EMAD on the kick lately. 13" Mapex black panther Cherry Bomb snare with some kind of coated head, can't remember what that was now. Cymbals: K mastersound hats, 17" K Dark crash, 20" rezo crash, 21" K Organic Ride. And a 19" ultra hammered china but I don't think I used that here, haha!
Hi christal nice drumming, our pastor just approach me to play drum in our church, I play drum but not confident yet, do you think you can help me some lesson or tips, thank you and god bless
My advice would be to just go for it! If your pastor asked you, they must be confident that you can do it. Just keep the beat steady for a start - simple is better than losing time - and gradually add more nuance as you get more familiar with playing in service. Cheering you on! 😊
And one question, do you have the chart, and can you give the link or a pdf about the chart?, I search in enthernet but I not found and you have the complete chart🥺♥️
Christal J. Kuna The DC area kinda lock down with new criminal statutes in place haha I mentioned to Earl Bennett how drumming is therapy now haha Glad to hear y'all ok Do you have video coming soon
Hey! That's in reference to the placement of the rhythmic pattern on the snare in the 3rd bar of the segment at 3:45. If you count the 16th notes in the first two counts of that bar it should feel like loud-soft-soft-loud-soft-soft-loud-soft (in groups of 3, 3 and 2 where the start of each group is emphasized by the snare). If you listen to the song "Clocks" by Coldplay, the snare drum is playing a 3 3 2 pattern throughout, counting in 8th notes; "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran also has this same rhythm as its riff. Let me know if that makes sense to you!
@@stalj Hi, thanks for your explaination for me, i have write some drumscore at my own for a few worship song, if you dun mine to give me your email address, i will send my drum score to you, hope i can get some comment and learn something new from you😊
