Timothy, you are likely the best on UA-cam for legitimate tutorials (not to be confused with covers or other "winging-it" versions"). Your attention to detail and accuracy are absolutely amazing. Thank you for what you do.
He's great, but if you want another drummer as well to use when learning songs, I highly recommend Christal J. Kuna. I use them both, but Christal also has tips and extra info that explains a bit more as she's playing, plus she has note sheets below in the video, so if your uncertain what she's playing at specific moments you can see it as notes aswell.😉

I’m so happy when I have to play new songs that I’ve never played and you’ve got covers out for them. I air drum at home (because my kit is at the church), and show up super prepared because your videos are filmed and mic’d so well, and you keep things pretty simple and tight for the most part.

I have always wanted to know this: what is that mid-bar snare fill that the drummer plays in the post chorus? The part of the song that’s after the final chorus and when the song goes “you have no rival, you have no equal.” Its like a little burst. It’s played on the snare and then floor tom. I’m guessing it’s 32nd notes, that are played at a quick crescendo to give it that dynamic feel?

@@TimothyCincala Would you be able to put together a measure of the drum beat from the chorus of “One thing” by hillsong? It’s a 32nd note hi hat pattern that uses both hands, but the drummer does a little burst on the rack tom before the snare note on beat 2 in the measure.

What did you do to the snare?
He has the snare wires loosened to make the snare more like a tom. Watch closely and you can see he tightens the wires part way into the song to make the snare sound like a snare.

I really appreciate this tutorial, but how do I follow what you're doing? There's no way my eyes can track everything that's going on, and there's so many sounds I can't differentiate the drums from anything else.
