Fun fact 2003 saw the highest production run for duramax’s with manual transmissions.
That does make alot of sense! They are harder to find the newer they get, until 06 that is
dawg its forestry service green its a rare truck, the 1500 version came 6.0 manual
@@WattsGemini323 they must've been 1500 "hd" but that's badass
@@NaztyNate i worked at valvoline saw one in person owned by an old lady (belonged to her dead husband) wasnt an HD just a single cab 6.0 manual forestry green bought at auction
@@WattsGemini323 dude that would be so sick!
Sorry for the off topic comment but I was just wondering what mpg your durakon was getting after the swap?
I think I got the rarest Duramax ever made (contrally to popular belief) 05 lly gmc crew cab short bed factory zf6 with digital climate and ALL power options. Even on star and mirror compass. Power seats and vinyl floor. Someone ordered it that way. Never seen one like it. Silver color too
Wow that's pretty cool, someone definitely had to order it like that
I have one that was gifted to me with only 97,000 miles but the frame is toast but the body, engine and transmission are perfect and I just found a donor truck same cab and bed config extended cab 8ft bed the donor truck has a really good frame just a little bit of surface rust despite having 350,000 miles but the body is bad and the engine and transmission while rebuilt I would not trust long term its why I bought it for the frame anyways the low millage ZF6 truck that is getting the donor frame is a 03 cateye manual transfer case and transmission as stated with a really odd option my dad chose when he configured it back in november of 2002 he configured it with the following manual locks, power windows the cloth/vinyl seats a CD player radio not the basic AM/FM radio a front and rear trailer reciver the head light switch with indicator some trucks have a little light for if you put the lights fully off or left it on auto and a fully black interior and a black paint job and the final last option fog lights
I got the same sunglasses you got
They're good ones!
Another reason it’s so rare is that fact that it’s a cat eye LB7. They only made them from 04-04.5 so 6 months?
That's true! They made them 03-04.5 technically.
03-04.5 so a year and a half.
Why did he sell it?
Hard to pass up a decent profit
I have a 2005 regular cab 4X4 HD duramax with a 6sp tranny, is there a way to check how rare that truck is, also I’m the original owner
I don't think there is a way to check how many were made unfortunately. Dodge has records of VINs but I don't think GM does publicly.
