My 06 Chevy Duramax dually was stolen in may. Zf6 swap was always on my list. It was in perfect condition and trying to find another is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Did your bellhousing bolts work for the zf6 or did you have to buy new ones??

I wish gm zf6s weren't so hard to find. I been wanting one for my 6.0 truck cause its a much nicer transmission than the 4l80e or the nv4500 and they will bolt to the LS based engines with a custom flywheel and clutch. Its the perfect truck transmission

I've got an LML I would want to swap, but unfortunately I think its near impossible because of the tuning and wiring required. I can't find any evidence online of an actual LML with a swap

I believe the bolt pattern would be different if your going from powerstroke to a duramax but an adapter kit and clutch shouldn’t be too bad to find.
The fords also had oil coolers on there ZF6 transmissions so watch out for that.

zf6 is a downgrade cant hold nearly as much as good built allison

There are a few issues, but the most important one is you're missing the point; manual > automatic.
