Love this video on the Giraffe G20, the question I have for you is are you required to use there leader hose that goes from the unit to the water source or can you use any other type of hose. Great video. Main question I have is for car detailing...what is the ideal PSI and ideal GPM? Since GPM and nozzle size seem to be directly correlated, is there an ideal orifice/nozzle opening size that you prefer?
900 to 1200 psi is the detailing standard. this can be achieved with 3.0 or 3.5 tips. using these on any budget washer should get you the best output regardless of which unit you use. I use either one they are great. I do however also use a gas washer sometimes and I use a 6.0 tip to drop the pressure from over 2300psi down to 1500 and increase flow to 2.8 gpm. it's night and day going from a electric washer to a gas one. cleaning and rinsing in 2 3 minutes. only way in going v back to electric is when I use my Northstar electric 20 amp unit that is servicable and gets 2.4 gpm at 1300 psi but at 1300$ I only use that one in a while. it's easy better than a Kranzle as you can adjust pressure to 2600 psi at 1.3 gpm

Oh man that’s a bummer. Yea I didn’t check but I don’t think the hose is replaceable on this one either. The plus+ and the pro have replaceable hoses but I’m not sure on this one
It's unfortunate that Giraffe no longer sells the smaller units for $140 or less without the hose and reel, they had some good psi/gpm numbers for the price
As usual a good video. On a different topic, you do excellent product reviews, and I recently used the Superior Product Dark Fury and was extremely happy with the bug removal results. Can you review some of their products (e.g., Aqua Gloss, EZ Shine, etc.).
Exactly that. The motor/pump is rated for 100 hours of use. After that, they can die. Some people, that will get you a year, (typical for pro detailers) some people a multiple years (DIY detailer or yard maintenance). Depends how much you use it. Be sure you store it properly when it is not in use and you can get the most longevity out of it such as draining your hose completely after it is turned off and (especially if you live up north) putting a little "pressure washer saver" through it to winterize it during the winter storage months. Hope that helps!
As long as you can sort out the moutning plate. Again this is a residential grade so if youre using it daily keep in mind the 100 hour rating. But as far as performance, its good enough for sure and the 65' hose is great
That's an awesome-looking unit Josh but I have one question. The location where I would be able to mount this on my patio is about 30 feet or so from the electrical outlet. Is it okay to use an extension cord for this or would that be a no-no? Thanks for all your work.

Can you link your pressure gauge, I have the same unit and my gauge is reading around 1300 psi with the stock gun and orifice. I get just under 1000 psi with a 2.5.
I don’t know unfortunately. I have it mounted at my house now and since it’s on a reel I think the flexibility of the hose is good enough and I haven’t tried to switch it. I’ll try and open it up one of these days and see what the connection point looks like
Depends on your usage. For car washing and tasks around the house an electric pressure washer is sufficient. However, if you want to clean tougher buildup on long driveways and walkways then you will be better off with a gas one. For the general consumer an electric pressure washer is the way to go.
