    4 years ago I had this down. im making shot after shot after shot after shot even if i'm double teamed but then we moved and I couldn't play B ball for 8 months cause there's no court anywhere near us. and I lost my shooting. I try so hard to get it back, but it's just not the same. I was mildy depressed for 2 weeks but then I got over it.

    A note on the "T" position of the thumbs ... don't get it twisted, all our hands are not that big. So if you're trying to copy Kobe's form, make sure the thumbs align in T form, but they don't have to touch.

    Does the T thumbs also help balancing and guiding the ball since he his pointer finger is in the middle of the ball instead of the middle finger keeping the ball not all the way balanced

    • @_Trey-3
      @_Trey-3 10 років тому

      Yes it does make sure before you shoot make your opposite dribble as good as your dominate if your left i don't recommend it to be honest because if your left handed one motion shots are best because your left hand always faster to flick down and it adds more muscle its proven too see I'm left handed in drawing but I'm right handed in basketball. But back to the point yes your finger will always be in the middle of ball but it wont if you dribble with your right hand and pick the ball up but only do this if your doing a pull jumper like crossover left pick the ball muscle memory t-thumbs activate bam every time. So thats why kobe likes to go left when he spins. He a artistic mover without dribbled i guess say but this

    Numbers Never Lie (Regular Season)
    Kobe v. Jordan
    PPG: Jordan
    FG% Jordan
    APG: Jordan
    RPG: Jordan
    Blks: Jordan
    Stls: Jordan
    MVPs: Jordan
    PER: Jordan
    Scoring Titles: Jordan
    Rookie of the Year: Jordan
    Defense: Jordan
    DPOY: Jordan
    Shoes: Jordan
    Bricks: Kobe
    Playoff averages demonstrate the strength of quality of which player was truly better:
    PPG: Jordan
    FG%: Jordan
    APG: Jordan
    RPG: Jordan
    Stls: Jordan
    Blks: Jordan
    Finals MVPs: Jordan
    Defense: Jordan
    Rings: Jordan
    Here's an interesting stat for Playoff Comparison:
    JORDAN has:
    376 Steals
    158 Blocks
    546 Turnovers
    in only 179 playoff games
    Kobe has
    310 Steals
    144 Blocks
    647 Turnovers
    In 220 playoff games
    So Kobe played 41 more playoff games but has over 100 more turnovers yet has less blocks and steals than Jordan. This shows that Jordan is a way better hustler than Kobe is. It also touches upon who has the higher basketball IQ. Also, Kobe tends to be wreckless at times which tends to hurt the team. His combined bricks and turnover rates are often too much for the Lakers to overcome.
    For those who say Kobe was a better scorer, check this out:
    Scoring Titles:
    Jordan - 10
    Kobe - 2
    MJ's TOPPED (and tied) kobe's BEST SEASON for total pts 2x
    MJ TOPPED kobe's BEST SEASON for total assists 4x, and tied it once (including his rookie season LOL)
    MJ TOPPED kobe's BEST SEASON for total rebs 2x and tied it once
    MJ TOPPED (and tied) kobe's BEST SEASON for total steals 8x (and was 1 short of tying it in '96)
    MJ TOPPED (and tied) kobe's BEST SEASON for total blocks 6x
    MJ TOPPED (and tied) kobe's BEST SEASON of efficiency (fg%) 11x
    FACT: kobe's BEST playoff run is 32ppg 5apg 5rpg on 43.2 FG%.
    MJ has 8 playoff runs BETTER than that.
    And that includes the '95 playoffs, when he'd only played 17 reg season games B4 those playoffs started, was rusty, and coming off of a damn near 2 yr hiatus from baseball LOL!!
    And he did ALL OF THIS in a MUCH TOUGHER, and PHYSICALLY DEMANDING DEFENSIVE ERA LOL!!
    And when comparing MJ's last 2 seasons in Washington to kobe's 2010 and 2011 seasons, MJ had:
    * an equal amount of total rebs as him (836)
    * almost as many steals (208 to kobe's 212)
    * and more blocks than him (65 to kobe's 32)
    LOL!!
    23/4/5 on 43.2 FG%

      Matthew Benedict
      It's only a cool story if any of what I mentioned is false. But in this case, everything is true. Jordan was top to bottom better than Kobe and it's not even close. The first step is denial.

      @awsomesaucewarrior 10 років тому +15

    • @heromiIes
      @heromiIes 10 років тому +2

      awsomesaucewarrior C'mon bro. Not too long ago Kobetards were swearing on their life that Kobe was better. Many of them are still in disbelief. Ever since I started posting Numbers Never Lie stats, what happens now is, these Kobetards are left with zero room for constructing a valid argument. They kept saying things like, Jordan is good, but Kobe's skillset is better. And I kept thinking to myself, "What skill set?". Still haven't gotten a valid explanation of a skill set Kobe has that is better than Jordan. Kobe doesn't do anything better than Jordan. So I guess now everyone will regress to 'Oh we all knew Kobe was better'. 75% of Lakerland still believes Kobe is better. I haven't reached the masses yet, but I've managed to create a truth comparison that any one with a brain can understand. No one argues with me now. It's like all the Kobetards have finally surrendered to the truth. My reaction is, "Duh, we been telling you Jordan was better" for years, but for some reason these Kobetards act like they were under some of kind of spell all these years. It's funny to me.

      Do whatever type of layup your trying to do but just bring the ball up slightly then bring it back down slightly then put it up. Think of it this way for normal layups, when you jump while your in the air bringing the ball up to head level then back down towards your shoulder and then shoot it like you would a normal layup. It's just a little hesitation in the air to draw contact and finish or throw off the timing of a shot blocker. After practicing the normal layups you can move on to more advanced stuff like doing it off of euro steps and spin moves.

    • @heromiIes
      @heromiIes 10 років тому +2

      The double clutch isn't exactly something you develop or practice like jump shooting. The double-clutch is a purely instinctive, in-the-moment, reactionary move.
