I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but with Jaclyn I just feel like she takes zero accountability, keeps missing the point, taking advantage of people and keeps trying to use whatever tactic is in her best interest to continue to sell people things… idk. I guess it really makes no difference to me because I never watched her content to begin with but I kind of feel like it’s all a show and none of it’s genuine but maybe that’s just my own cynicism!
Yeah no I agree too. Like, there's so much I don't know because I only dip into her orbit when her name makes a splash on occasion so I don't know the extent of her...transgressions 😵💫
I used to watch her content - and you’ve got the gist! With Jaclyn you can clearly see through her videos how her financial success has morally corrupted her. Or maybe she has been devoid of ethics or morals the whole time and fame & money has only highlighted who she really is? I don’t know. Either way she keeps proving time and time again she will lie & do whatever it takes to make a buck. Her fans be damned. ❤M

I’ll save my compassion for the people Jaclyn screwed over. She trade marked Koze forcing the original creator to rebrand. For what? Just to get on camera and say she wasn’t passionate about Koze in the first place. Those are the actions of a privileged, spoiled brat. Action speak louder than the verbal diarrhea she spews and her actions make her look like a horrible person. It’s not about dog piling, it’s about holding people accountable. I personally block or hide any post regarding her. Respectfully completely disagree with your take on Jaclyn. I think she relies on kind hearted people to continue to give her a pass for her shady behaviors.
Yeah I don't feel nearly as bad when it's such an obvious pattern of oversharing and guilting her audience just to prime them for a new release...good for kackie but my bitterness keeps me warm at night
Wait the first Koze business never trademarked their brand name? Why on earth not? Jaclyn has done a lot of crap but trademarking a name that does not currently have a trademark is perfectly fine.
@@giantcupofcoffee I didn’t have the time nor the desire to write a book in the comments listing all of Jaclyn’s victims. I chose to comment on the Koze situation because per the United States Patent and trademark office, (google is free) an attorney in Florida began the process to trademark Koze and abandoned the process this year.
So after Jaclyn made this creator have to rebrand, Jaclyn doesn’t even have Koze trademarked because she abandoned the process!! A school yard bully who takes a toy from another child and decides 3 seconds later they didn’t really want the toy after all.
The original Koze creator did not trade mark it due to the cost to trademark and her naïveté.
Something can be legal to do and yet morally wrong.

Agree about ND releases. Yucca was in June, Starlette a few weeks ago and then this and she will probably release an actual holiday palette. Last year she did Pastel, Dream, Retro Glam and at least 1 mini.
i recently got the hindash pallets and they work so well for me and my style of doing makeup that anytime i see a matte pallet i’m like “huh that’s nice anyway”

Jaclyn only lies . She lied about contacting the brand Koze , she copied dupes of a jewelry brand . She hasn’t apologized to Marlene or Jen Gerald . She doesn’t own Jacklyn Cosmetics if she was honest and owned her mistakes it would be 💯 different . She lied about her lipsticks that they had fuzzy gloves . She was Warned about the lab . She has yes people around her . Everyone makes mistake but you own it and grow . I don’t wish her harm but I wish she be honest and I think that would make her happier when you made mistakes and lie about them they affect you your health .
I agree 100% and I think she shares so much of herself and bares her soul to her audience to emotionally mainipulate them into buying all the stuff she sells.
Totally agree except I recently found out from Tina (thefancyface) vid that Jaclyn actually does own Jaclyn cosmetics. She goes in depth about why that's true. Otherwise, everything you said I completely agree & I just don't think I'll ever be able to have sympathy or empathy for her. ESPECIALLY over the koze situation. That was just dead wrong.

@@blendofdaysactually she owns the licensing to Jaclyn Hill LLC. Forma actually owns the company and license her name. She is a ceo due to owning the LLC but doesn’t actually own the cosmetic brand.

Well... Minus the fact the inside of the spots on the OG are pink and the background color is a pink champagne. So the colors are swapped.
I feel like this was the least "tepid" takes since the series started. I loved it - I am just also amused

I have been SAVING whats left of my pink leopard bronzer..... I allow myself to use it like only on special occasions.... Weddings, work photoshoots, girls vegas trips.... Etc. This new bronzer will be a MUST try for me....
I’m not a professional by all means and find ND formula to be very easy to blend. I have a huge ND fan, I have not purchased all the palettes though. I thought the days when you buy everything released were gone 😂, You don’t need to buy everything release from a brand, The Yuka palette was not my jam at all, so I’m happy with this release
Awe!!! That’s exactly how my son was when he was around that age. From what I hear, that’s not how all kids are, but based on how I see you interact with your son, you two have a special bond and he probably feels extra safe with you to a level that a lot of parent child relationships don’t hit. Treasure it! My son is 10 now and still occasionally cuddly (which I cherish when I get it) but he’s mostly grown out of it at this point. The closeness is still there for sure but it’s interesting how much parent child relationships change over time, even while they’re still children. :) anyway, wishing you and yours love.

I am excited about the ND palette. Yucca is lovely, but those aren’t my best shades. I passed on it, so I was primed and ready for a day-friendly palette I can probably wear well. It didn’t feel too fast, but maybe I’d feel differently if I’d bought Yucca.
Hot take: I don't care what skincare celebs release as long as they partner with industry professionals. Makes me waaaay more likely to buy anything from Rhode when I know product development is lead by both a cosmetic chemist and a dermatologist!

Your take of Jaclyn Hill is very empathetic. It’s nice to see that in social media.
Lancôme isn’t exciting BUT if you have never tried their blush subtil formula, as a blush person, you absolutely have to try it. It’s one of the most gorgeous blush formulas out there. Miel Glace is the beige everyone loves, but personally I like Rose Fresque.
Lancôme is a solid line, terribly underrated in general, I think.
THIS! I like it more the Dior but they’re just behind on their packaging. If they do a redesign, they can really boost their brand.
I’m really intrigued by the Danessa Myricks palette. I love that she’s always doing new and interesting, innovative things. Plus she’s just delightful. I can’t wait to see what this palette is all about!
Looking forward to your review of Danessa groundwork palette! Intrigued by it and wondering about textures, colors, etc.

Whenever anyone mentions the Born to Run palette my first thought is, “Kackie used that on her wedding day!”
It’s refreshing to see a creator notice that even though she is flawed, Jaclyn is a human and not just fodder for views.
100% wish brands released palettes slower to give people time to really use and appreciate them as they come out. At least ND doesn’t launch as fast at colourpop lol

Babes making the same mistake more than twice is just a habit. She surrounded herself with yes people and not actual people that had her best interest. I wish her the best-- for everyone in general--, but she is a car salesman, and I don't trust them.

I am soooo excited for the Patrick Ta Palette! I wanted his other two palettes but I really only wear mattes, so this is PERFECT for me.
The most exciting thing in this video for me was the Lancome quint. I dont really have a palette with that color story- I don't do greens at all ever but know they complement my skin tone. I'm tempted to pick it up! Will have to see a review on it.

I wonder if the ND palette got moved up because it was "leaked" on reddit. I recall in past years the fall release palette wasn't announced until the first week of september.

I actually really like the r.e.m. concealer- it’s a perfect middle between Glossier stretch and Nars soft matte (I have all 3 and use them all regularly)
Respectfully disagree with you about ND’s formula, particularly the mattes. I’m far from a professional or expert and find them blendable and easy to work with. Had no interest in Yucca and was ready for this release.

Ugh so sad that Pat, Charlotte, and Patrick (let alone all the others before them) are selling out to the mass market consumerism. I get that they are putting out what sells. But what we, who are here for their artistry, want is their exciting POV. Danessa is still giving and we love her for it ♥️ (Honestly Natasha is usually in this disappointing group, but I f’in love the Nude palette so she gets a hall pass for now)

Omg I thought I was the only person under the sun who is not a fan of Natasha Denona eyeshadows! They’re too creamy and too much for me, I do like to be able to blend versus pack on shadows. Fewh, I’m relieved I’m not alone!

I think the Too Faced leopard situation was the first bronzer I ever paid money for, back in like 2014-15? And then I almost never used it (or figured out bronzer at all until I tried the Salt New York ones, honestly!). But I had been lusting after Guerlain Terracotta bronzer forEVER before getting the dumb Too Faced one. Lifelong sucker for tortoise vibes. So this is a pretty funny full-circle moment.
So I think what you said about Jaclyn is soft but it’s your opinion on her so, cool 🤷♀️ you know? But as someone who is disabled, calling an ableist just a weirdo (Michelle Phan) would never fly if she was racist, a bigot, etc. it feels that because she is “only” making extremely dangerous declarations about disabled people.. that’s fine. omg my "this or that" request is becoming more and more "this or this or this or that and also that" 😂 I would love to hear you thoughts on all of theses concealers and a detailed comparison (even though they are very very different): tower 28, givenchy, kulfy, chanel sublimage, kosas, and glossier stretch... I know!! but I am genuinely curious 😅 I have very dry sensitive eyes, bags with some blue/purples, texture, and its getting wrinkly. I need ALL the help I can get. So I got the givenchy and I adore it. I got the glossier because of your recommendation and I also love love loove it.. xD I use the chanel sublimage for spot concealing and it is very good at that because this thing is not going anywhere! (although on my eyes it does end up patchy for some reason) I always have the kosas in my bag for touch ups, but I cannot use it on my under eyes too much as it sorts of creases and emphasise texture for me. I tried the tower 28 at Sephora and the colors are really good but it does remind me of the Kosas so I did not get it but I can be easily persuaded 😂The only one I have not tried in person is the Kulfi! So.... help!! xD
re: mario concealer - I think a pink or peach concealer could potentially be great undereyes. depending on the undertone, maybe i could skip my fenty rose quartz or SmashBecca undereye corrector. Huda’s lightest corrector shade was WAY too dark for me. My Haus labs foundation (which I swear I can’t get to look good-accentuates pores where I don’t generally have any, i normally love super dewy foundations for my dry, thin, very fair skin, but my skin is PREPPED and SPF-d when i use it, so it just seems to bulk up. But it’s pink. maybe the Haus lab pink concealer would work. If i could figure out my undertone for sure, it wouldn’t be such a damn challenge!

Speaking of YSL, have you thought about getting one of those new quads they have on their website? I have the 100 and holy molly it's so good!!!! The mattes are creamy but easy to blend and the shimmers are so soft but ethereal and the mfs at YSL finally did eyeshadow right! Also, that candy glaze is the best lip anything! I love the pink and the newer nude one so much. The 02 clear one though is the best though for the versatility of using a lip liner then slapping that on to make a glossy any color you want!

I about as disgusted with JH's behavior as anyone can be, but I am even more touched by your empathy and ability to consider the steps that could bring someone like her to be in this situation. If more people were able to do this, I bet there would be less Jaclyn type situations. Also, your makeup is dreamy in this video.
I'm going to try to resist the Patrick ta palette. I just notice that in his last palette the matte shades didn't wear well .. they almost blended together to look like one shade on my lid🤷♀️. I'll have to see some reviews where people do wear tests. The DM one looks interesting for sure though😮

The makeup by mario concealer doesn't have a shade for me even though I'm a medium skintone... Again, olive undertones were forgotten in complexion products 🙃
Yes, Natasha Denona... the colours from the new palette are great!!! But I am so afraid of the "stamp"effect!! Meanwhile, I am here trying and making videos about k-beeauty and j-beauty low and friendly pigmentation eyeshadows and loving it! 🥰
What’s the stamp effect?
@@mirny1509 When the eyshadow just stamps in your skin/eyes and does not move or blend at all.... that also happens with blushes, be warned! 🤣

That Guerlain quad looks like it would blend out into an epic bruise. Green, yellow, purple red? Its a passssssssssssss for me, I bruise easy enough I don't need my eyes to look like I have 2 black eyes.
