- Pat McGrath is back with a new eyeshadow palette, a fresh color story called Huetopian Dream. This artistry palette will set you back the expected PMG $125 (unless you catch a sale!), and today I'm comparing my two Pat McGrath palettes (Mothership VII Divine Rose and the new Huetopian Dream) in swatches and giving you a fun eye look using some of the palette's most remarkable shades. Same! There’s always a shade or two that I know would look off on me, and it’s always one of the “essential” ones so have never done it because I can’t justify paying 80+€ for a palette and then having to go and find a transition shade elsewhere because the one I just paid for makes me look sick.
However, if she ever releases one of her 135€ palettes full of the special precious glittery magical shifting eyeshadows I would buy that in a heartbeat, full price no questions asked.
Honestly I'm not sure I'd pay 85$ either. From what I've heard the mattes are good but pretty standard mattes, and you can get the sparkly special shades from indie brands like Clionadh or TerraMoons... plus, PMG uses carmine so if you have sensitive skin or are cruelty-free/vegan it's a no-go
I feel like you would like Pat's quads, especially the blitz astral quad in ritualistic rose. It has nothing but those sparkly shades.

I have to say, it’s such a treat to see you go full artist when dipping into Pat McGrath. Even the phrasing that you naturally fall into, saying “painting” a shade rather than placing, etc. Like a true soul connection with makeup

This palette is so gorgeous, one of the most tempting ones I've seen her release!
Please be kind to yourself about the lighting/background situation, you definitely notice it more than we do - I for one never notice anything until you mention it, natural light is lovely but by its very nature is a fickle thing, you can't control the weather!
literally the divine rose palette is my FAVORITE palette I've ever used, so I'm so excited to see this one!!

this is a very beautiful palette but I can't help but think her ''celestial'' shades are truly what you can find in indie brands like Devinah, Bernovich, Glamshop etc...not worth the price for me to buy the palette but it was a delight to see you and Amanda play with it, you are both among my faves
I've been trying to convince myself that I don't need one of her palettes even on sale price, but those special shades are so tempting. Thanks for the indie suggestions, I think this might do the trick!

I have all of them but no. 3 which I plan to get. Of the ones I have this is my Fav. I use it for the daily or for a dog show or a party. Does everything you need. I also love to do Mashups with it and the other Pallets. I LOVE IT!
I’m like Amanda, a one-and-done person, but there is no denying, those colors are gorgeous and the formula looks amazing.

There’s a repeat from mothership two and divine rose. It’s a pink shimmer…wish I had my palettes in front of me. But short story long. Occasionally she will have a repeat. The black is in the first three.

Oh if I felt more adventurous I would maybe grab this one. Maybe some day, but I really have to stop buying eyeshadows! I have the Divine Rose and then I have two of her blitz astral quads and I just got the Wayne Goss… and a quad and single from Chantecaille… And I have Tate’s palette… I have enough eyeshadow (it’s never enough eyeshadow!) hahaha. It does strike me as very space princess and artistry forward too, so pretty. Thanks as always for the great break in my day watching your videos. Makes my afternoon so much better.

I was dragging my feet on getting this palette since I already have divine rose 1 and 2, thinking these will be so similar. But this turned out to be my favorite mothership palettes 😂 I have 7 of them and I got hutopian dreams last 😅

Revisiting this since I ordered Divine Rose I (paying for it 100% through Ulta points!!) and need a reminder that Divine Rose II is just not my colors.

I don’t think Astral Venusian orchid can ever be conveyed through video or photo. It’s such a special beautiful shade.

I also left this comment on Amanda's: I was gifted this palette. I have 18 Clionadh shadows, 8 of which are glitters, and one stained glass. I'm not exaggerating when I say theirs in better. the shadows perform v true to the pics on their site. they're indie and just produce excellent consistent products.
they can expensive, sometimes as expensive as PMG's per pan.
the Venn that it occupies, indie but luxurious and sometimes expensive, is v interesting.
like they're much better than Roen (Boxycharm surprise).
the stained glass ones have an average of 5 shifts and some have 7 shifts. they're truly like stained glass. sometimes I just look at them cz they're just the perfect glitters.
ok, I'm gna go enjoy my Sunday now. I did my community service for the indie makeup brands and I feel like I shone adequate light on the new heights of glitters ❤️

Don’t understand memberships seems so wrong to me. Influencers already get paid so much and when I see some people doing memberships for specific content that only some people can see if they pay for it just isn’t right. Old school UA-cam used to be just people enjoying makeup and beauty and wanting to share tips and advice with the world. UA-cam has changed so much. Also why would anyone pay for me memberships! Such a waste of money, in my opinion.
I would never purchase make up just for a channel as it would be such a WASTE !!!! I would have to like it and be able to wear it to avoid that waste of money to just do a few looks on a channel hmmmm
