Back in 08 or 07 I met Alan Ackerman while in Vegas for business. Met him at Boomers and he borrowed my deck and proceeded to make my jaw drop. It was my deck but in his hands it didn’t look like it. Alan is a true Gentleman.
This is a fantastic interview, made so not just by the obvious quality of the guest but your clear love and knowledge of Allan's card material. Many thanks.
This was a excellent interview 👏 Allen Ackerman is one of the Best in the World. And his Knowledge and handling of cards is truly magical! Sharing his skills was very much appreciated! 👍
@@UnbiasedMagicReviews Ran it with my dad. It was a bicycle shop for about 20 years and then about 10 years in added a magic shop. Had many great lectures, including Allan. Lots of fun.
33:17 Happy Allan likes Tetra-Red and thank you Allan for the complements. :) My e-book will be available for free when buying Allan's upcoming book; a link to it -- along with password -- will be published in Allan's upcoming book. Tetra-Red was designed to be a random looking tetradistic stack one can shuffle into easy from new deck order, have great 5 card poker & holdem deals, and be quickly transformable between Si Stebbins and The Redford Stack (even just half a deck at a time), using Patrick Redford's dialing technique. The "Tetra" part of "Tetra-Red" is for tetradistic, since it is a tetradistic stack. The "Red" part of "Tetra-Red" is b/c it is compatible with The Redford Stack and uses Patrick's dialing technique. [My three mem-decks are Tetra-Red, The Redford Stack and an intermediate Si Stebbins stack which I call Red Stebbins -- 9C is the face card of this stack same as Redford Stack as well as Tetra-Red.]
Great interview. Mr Ackerman is an expert on card magic. Nevertheless, all the controls and the moves which he has developed and created are workable for those who do table card magic. In my case, I do stand up card magic because it allows me to use my whole body and to do my moves more dinamically. That having been said, could you please review Roberto Giobi's book "Stand up card magic"?? Perhaps you could post a video which addresses the advantages of stand up card magic versus table card magic. Thanks.
The first control he shows can be done stand up. I do see your point that a lot of his magic requires a table. I will definitely review Stand Up Card Magic- I read it twice! 😃
