I like that he waited until he was feeling that he was ready, that he has a right story and that he can pull it off. Like him or not, he makes no mistakes with his movies and he is a box office magnet for 40 years. I mean, how many times we saw a sequel better than the original movie?!
Love that Cruise gave a shout out to Collateral which I think may be the best performance he ever gave. That movie often gets overlooked/forgotten which is a shame. Such a raw/visceral movie.
But man...TG:Maverick was nothing short of a masterpiece and the best movie I've seen in years. It had been over two years since I'd stepped foot in a movie theater and I'm glad that was the movie that brought me back. 💯
Collateral really was a great movie and Tom’s performances was stellar, I don’t understand why it never gained much attention.

I'd say Born On The Fourth Of July was his best ever performance
I love that he does it all, dancing, singing, fighting, flying, diving, etc. etc. Very inspiring! I find Tom to be a great example of what is possible in human form. :)

Just about anyone could be an executive producer if you have enough money and you want to buy into the film you would be an executive producer
2:29 at least 4 generations. His fellow boomers, who were in their 30's/40's when the first film came out. Gen X, who grew up idolizing him. Millennials, who saw his MI films. And now Gen Z, many of whom are now in their twenties/teen-age years

Glad he waited till all the elements that surround a great story were in place. Also by waiting an extra generation gets to see this phenomenal movie.

It’s funny, in America we just think of him as a cult member. Scientology is just so creepy.
If only everyone had watched the Aftermath series about Scientology maybe the film would not be so popular. We have tried to get the word out in Australia but Scientology is not popular here so it 'flys' under the radar.
