Horror staccato for the most violinists. Some never able to play it whole life.
Heifetz instruction for the slur staccato to students-- " Practice it every time while you practice arpeggios"
Can't go wrong with Heifetz!!!!
IMO Fedor Rudin's version is the best.

Another interesting violinist who played this piece is Sittichai Pengcharoen.
He studied with Erick Friedman who was a pupil of Heifetz with whom he recorded Bach double. So pretty interesting.
