That poor woman. To have a loved one murdered is horrific. To be a good person and be the mother of the murderer must be it's own hell. This is a good channel, not overly dramatized and well researched. I appreciate that.
I lived near a couple whose only son murdered his ex-girlfriend in their home. They sold the home, moved away, and never visited their son in prison. I can’t imagine their grief.
I don’t think there is any stronger a witness than a mother testifying against her own child. Nothing would tear a mother apart more and no testimony could be more damaging against him and heartbreaking for her. Looks like she was the only family member with a sense of right and wrong, truth and honor. What a terrible position to put his own mother in.
The fact that a rapist went free because he was telling lies that people would rather believe than the truth...and that this still goes on, is infuriating. I've watched a lot of "Forensic Files" episodes and there are FAR too many cases where the murderer had a few years earlier been on trial for rape/assault and pretty much got a slap on the wrist or it dismissed. They learn to kill their victims after that.
Great series. For a mother to admit that of her son, must have torn her apart. It takes courage to (finally) do the right thing….No possibility she is being anything less than truthful. 41:14
Absolutely compelling & brilliant acting in this episode!! 🙌🌟 The entire Murder Maps series is fantastic, but this particular episode was exceptional. I was riveted by the performances of the cast of the Manuel family! 🤩 The narrative of this episode was fantastically enhanced by the recurring theme of the disunity between the parents that was being caused by the differences in their subjective notions of loyalty & self-preservation. This episode’s use of that thematic element succinctly conveys how moral relativism can be traced as the root cause of all humanity’s strife & turmoil. 👍
His poor mother. As a parent you wonder what you could have done differently, I'm sure she blamed herself. Who knows what really causes a person to turn out like this. Can you imagine being his mother and suspecting and then being talked out of it and then another murder or assault happening and being in doubt all over again? Ugh.
@@chinavaughan6383That’s unlikely. He’d serve his time and come out even more dangerous. Serial killers tend to have extensive criminal histories before they’ve actually started to kill people. Being arrested and convicted of lesser crimes won’t deter them at all, unfortunately.
So where's all the comments about he had a horrible childhood, that's why he did it. He seemed to have loving devoted parents. Yet he turned into such a monster. His poor mother.
The lawyer is listed as QC (I think that means queens counsel). Now that Charles is King, will it change to KC? I am an American so truly have no idea.
It broke heart ❤️ for the mom she really loved him so very much I beat her life wasn’t any better to have face her son and her tell the truth must broke to no I just killed my own son RIP to all he’s victim and he’s parents

An excellent show... Love it
Sociopaths are born everywhere. His fiancé was fortunate to heed the warning. Enjoying your content very much. Thank you.
Not born but created by their parents
Excellent video ... James G Nunn did a superb job of acting as well as Lyndsay Beuchamp, who played the Mum
Simon Wright did a great job on the video about Ruth Ellis too. They have some real quality actors on these shows.
It sure is nice to see someone spell Mum the same way I do. Getting it spelt Mum on her birthday cake was an ordeal!
Scottish heritage, perhaps?

The dramatisations in this series are brilliant 🎉 Excellent 👍🏽

Hard to realize you've spawned a monster.
What a story!

Good on the mother, that could not have been easy.

Imagine whst Hitler's mother must have felt...
What a terrible man he was, my heart goes out to the victims and his parents too because it must be hard to learn your child is a sick murderer.
Seriously if I had a son like this,
I would save the tax payers the cost of a trial and take care of the problem myself. 😡
So, you are as bad as the son. Got it
If the parents hadn't been in denial for so long, many woman would have been spared.
If the jury hadn’t believed his story in the rape case, then perhaps he wouldn’t have become so bold in regards to his criminal activities😢

I feel like they’re just as bad as him because if it weren’t for them, he may have been caught much sooner
His parents excused his evil monstrous behavior no matter the evidence!!?🙏😢⚖️🤔❣️
If murder was a foot, was burglary an arm? Or … no?
😅

Don't remember these murders 1956-1958 ? could be I was only 3yrs old at the time
3:48 PARKOUR ???

Yes. Every QC is now a KC.

Gives paid to the theory that all serial killers have at least one abusive and/or unloving parent
