I was so stressed! I realized I was putting SO much pressure on myself to be the hero and come up with great solutions. But the reality is that it comes with time and it's not ALL my responsibility!!!! I changed my motto to..."Be mediocre"...it has really helped take the pressure off that I was putting on myself! My mediocre is still pretty dang good too!!!!
Hi April, I am just finding my self and before discovering you and your husband's passion to help others, I asked God to give me clarity on how I can make my dreams come true. And your work shop popped up. Organizing my life is a major step to my dreams. This not only brings me a tidy home, but events are enjoyed, meetings are met, kids' growth is acknowledged, and prioritized. My husband and I have more PRODUCTIVE conversations. Budgeting is included. Your help with these programs has changed my life. And I thank GOD for putting your gift in front of me. This is your gift to me. Thank you. I am also getting in tuned with myself. I am working with Led by Love. They are helping me find my Queen. I AM FINDING MYSELF, and you are helping me do that. Thank you.

I listened to this podcast twice and watched this fun video, well, you were vulnerable and I appreciated it a lot. You're relatable! I cut out MAKING homemade Christmas gifts for the mail carrier and garbage pick-up guy and stopped sending little gifts to my brothers. I have 6 kids, a husband and parents and sometimes I put so much on myself (I'll have to analyze that later as to why) and then pretty much end up stressed and less happy for those around me! All self-induced and then I lay out this expectation for others to have of me! It's nuts! I've done it with birthday parties, too. I'm reining it in and listening and watching you April give me joy and encouragement. 🌻🌻🌻

But it is a huge relief when we realize we can calm down, do less, take care of ourselves, and still be filled with love for others. Good luck as you continue to introspect. Thank you. I believe I was alongside with you back in those days. You were taking a lot. I believe perfectionism as much as we want to be take us to extremes. You are growing so much. Our religious beliefs also run like a program. Some of those are unatainables for pleasing God. He does not want us to suffer.
Yes! Perfectionism was a challenge for me for a long time. I still LIKE things to be “perfect,” but I also like the growth and being average in most areas. ❤️ Thanks for being here with us!

This is so valuable! I am a do-er, probably as a coping mechanism. My pastor said to me years ago, "You are not a Human Doing; you are a Human Being."
