Welcome to my desk tour! It's Magic here, you know it - a wedding photographer, Sony Europe Ambassador and UA-camr. In this video, I'm excited to walk you through my practical yet, quite unique (at least that's what I want to think) desk setup, which has evolved over last couple of years editing weddings, filming and editing youtube videos. It's not your typical fancy setup, but it's perfectly tailored to my needs, so hope that can inspire you!

Hi Magic, loving the setup! I would love it if you could elaborate a bit more on your NAS - TS4 - sabrent setup and how it works for you? You said that you have a bottleneck? Trying to learn a bit more here as I'm looking into buying the TS4 to get my desktop/laptop into 10gbe mode

I think your MacBook is upside down in desk dock? Make sure the exhaust at back of laptop is pointing up to the ceiling!
Wait for real? All the standing docks usually have them the way that ports are at the bottom.
Apple logo will be upside-down, but gravity will help the heat escape, even before fans kick in.
@@s-trapYTmy logo is covered so I don’t care about that. But having ports on the top is kinda weird for me… I have it like this since I bought the machine 2 years ago and haven’t had any issues. Probably, like you said, it’s better for heat transfer to keep it upside down, but I think I’m gonna keep it like that
@@MagicWeddingPhotographeryup all the dock images often show it with air exhaust pointing down. 😂 but ya only really matters if the fans kick in
I have a very similar setup right down to the stormtrooper helmet.
Recommend the Mirra 2 chair.
I plug my 10Gbe NAS straight into the TS4 - 2.5gbe is plenty for me.
That Helmet makes difference you know it! So when you plug nas directly to caldigit, do you then use internet over wireless on computer?

Hi @@AlbertPalmer sorry to jump i like this, but I thought that 10gbe and 2.5gbe don't work together? If your laptop/desktop only supports 1gbe it will go from 10 gbe straight to 1gbe and skip the 2.5gbe. Did you test the speed of your setup? I hope I'm wrong and you get the 2.5gbe speed!

Odnośnie ramienia do mikrofonu to: Rode PSA1+ jest spoko tylko nie wygląda tak "slick".
Tutaj gościu opowiada jak spersonalizować sobie takie ramię :) ua-cam.com/video/IrAThYp_nro/v-deo.html
Ma super "stację" do której się wkłada całe ramię i można w miarę łatwo wyciągnąć :)

My adult son does, with a Shure MV. Do a bit of searching on UA-cam. Very popular, also with the “other” set. My adult son’s dog is named “Lego”
Herman Miller Aeron chair. I have one and my adult son has one at his house. A bit pricy but deals can be found.
A Shure SM7B with the Rode microphone arm is also hugely popular.
