I watched the movie because of this scene. I knew nothing else about it going in. I thought it was gonna be a romantic comedy about a stuck-up corporate exec from the big city who got stuck in a small town during a business trip, fell in love with a charming local guy she met in a bar, and learned the value of kindness. Boy was I wrong :D
Linda Fiorentino was born for these femme fatale roles, she has this natural seductive charm, she doesnt overact,it just comes out naturally for her,i cant find among these new actresses one who comes close to Linda in terms of erotic allure and femininity
Linda Fiorentino should've won the Oscar for Best Actress in 1994. Too bad the movie premiered on TV first (HBO) and thus she was disqualified. She would've easily won, too. 1994 had the weakest contenders.
@@user-rh2io7gm1l it takes place in upstate New York which might as well be in another country than Manhattan. It's clearly a local bar, not a touristy place. The bartender is gonna know how to uncap a bottle, pour a draft and pour booze and drinks that involve pouring two things together (gin and tonic, rum and coke). They aren't gonna know how to make a Manhattan.
I am sure many would agree that she was by far one of the hottest and most talented actresses. Not sure why she never made big. My guess is she didn't give in to the Hollywood filth establishment.
I think she got pigeonholed doing this one role. She... got to stretch with Kevin Smith's "DOGMA." And director John Dahl cast her doing a complete 180 with "UNFORGETTABLE."
Agree. She was supposedly "difficult to work with" despite nobody having tangible evidence of it. I wished she was in more movies. She was great in all the roles I've seen her in.
She single-handedly made the dumbest fucking script ever - and that's including "Basic Instinct" - somewhat compelling. The way she stares at him when she asks him if he has indoor plumbing - priceless
@@magicdarragh yes, but you are misreading what he meant...he was not saying she was in BI...he was saying BI and Stone was another example of a dumbest fucking script ever being made compelling..that this beat that and Stone out on that basis, for that feat..
+Robyn Ragone Do what ever you have to do to see this movie! It is SO good. And Linda Fiorentino is so ferocious in it. There is an underlining of comedy to her performance. It is on DVD, I have it. She makes Sharon Stone performance in Basic Instinct look like a nun....no joke.
+EgoFan2481 good idea.. omg how weird i just threw away every dvd i had lol.. i can always find the movie im looking for on one of my movie apps.... not this one...
she was also lab white coat in 1st MEN IN BLACK movie...but gorgeous but anorexic-looking Lara Flynn Boyle from THE PRACTICE got to be the alien in black leather outfit?
one problem is, that these days you are not allowed to make a movie about bad women victimising men...Michael Douglas did that at least three times and got in trouble for it each time...fugly-assed feminist/lesbian academics with coke-bottle glasses make a fuss...you are challenging both their warped b/w propaganda comic-book misanthrope world view and their cushy non-contributory college livelihoods
Right in the clip title, next to her name: The Last Seductoin... It's a great movie, if you haven't already, I would highly suggest tracking down a copy to watch 👍👍👍👍
One of THE most iconic female leads in film history.
No.
I miss her in movies. She's always been a great actress in my book. She nails these roles everytime.
One of the sexiest, most fucked up, most underrated films of all time.

I love her voice in this. Low, raspy at times, cold, charismatic, sexy...does anyone actually have that voice tone in real life??
+daebbiri Smoke. Suzanne Pleshette was another example. Linda is quite hot, no doubt.
dks13827 YAAAASSS Suzanne!!! She had one of the huskiest voices ever!
she's just a bit too "tomboyish" in her moves i feel
Yes, but they're usually over 200 pounds.
How about Lauren Bacall? She has one of the huskiest voice...
Love her voice
She is so underrated

Best ever actress performance. hands down.
Yeah she is a badass I love seeing strong willed tough women who makes a man feel stupid! What happened to her because she dissappeared!
👏👏👏

+musicaltheatergeek79 Correct on all counts. She would have beat Jessica Lange, whom I love.
Fuck no you idiot, Tom hanks deserved best actor
If she won best actress for this shit, it just proves the Oscars aren't work shit.
"you're not from around here?"....."fuck off".....lmfao
The most unrealistic part of this is that the bartender in a small town locals bar knew how to make a Manhattan.
The movie takes place in the state of *New York,* the birthplace of the *Manhattan* cocktail, named after the *New York City* borough. So there.

lol
@@user-rh2io7gm1l you might be missing the point...
@@DemocracyDiesInDarkness maybe the bartender was on the run from NYC and hiding out with 900k in a briefcase too..
I wonder why her career died a death in Hollywood? She was so impressive in this movie!

Don't forget Scorsese's 'After Hours'
90's women were just so ... classy!
She is just smokin hot!
I really like her attitude although her attitude isn't nice to people.............but the way she acts charm me
I watched this as a child. This scene is forever in my mind

Was that not Sharon Stone in basic instinct?
Yea, I'm just saying, it was also a completely retarded script of the same era. This one was even stupider, yet Fiorentino managed to elevate it.
Yeah she certainly did. ;)

Brilliant scene
I wanted to watch this movie since they referenced in the first episode of Sex and the City LOL and I can't find the full movie so annoying
