So great to see new people get in to this band. Been on these guys since middle school, and it's always an experience watching someone fall in love with them.
First song I ever heard from them back in 2008🙌🏼 ps... they’ve had 3 clean vocalist since they formed. this album (along with their 4th album) has their original clean vocalist Jonny Craig. Their 2nd and 3rd albums have Kurt Travis on clean vocals. Their 5th album, and every album since then, has Tilian Pearson on clean vocals.
I’m so happy you reacted to this song, it’s been an obsession for years!! Will you react to the band we came as romans? A good song to start is - to plant a seed :)
Really though if you listen to DBMII his voice is much lower assumedly because of the drugs. Tilian has said that while he can sing DBM he can't really sing anything from DBMII well because Jonny's range is lower than his own for that album.
3rd reaction video ive watched of yours, and I must say you got me super happy. As others mention, not many people getting into them now react or even listen to their old songs which i feel is a big mistake. Watching you appreciating the greatness of their origins made me feel less alone. 2 guitar dynamic which is noticeably different on this album, the transitions, the scummy bud undeniably amazing vocals, and how the drummer somehow has the same black girl rhythm as will swan allowing him to both compliment and enhance the riffs. That part with the weird sounds is guitar. Will mentions in an interview that the first thing he does before each album is pedal shop for the purpose of finding a funky sound that will bring uncertainty on to what instruments were involved. Great work, waiting for more of your DGD reactions!
Watched all your Dgd reaction videos. Love them! Thanks man! I kept doing that chuckle we do when we understand what someone is talking about and experiencing non stop. I'll be watching these all with you as you go through the disco, must be exciting to be able to listen the first time.
Dude, just listen The Past Should Stay Dead from Emarosa! Same singer (Jonny Craig) but it blows your mind bro... the singing and the lyrics, it's just wooow! Good reaction man. Greetings! 🤘😁😎😉👍
I don't know if anyone has elaborated on their line up but this is a different vocalist than the one that sings we own the night. DGD has gone thru 3 vocalists this one being Johnny craig, kind of a problematic guy but AMAZING vocalist. He's been in multiple bands and the current vocalist is Tillian
Love that you've listened to their older stuff. I've been a fan since day 1. Jonny Craig was the lead vocalist at this time and he's a royal douschebag but that doesn't change the fact that he's one of the greatest singers. If you love DGD, which is the vibe I'm getting from you, you should try any band on Blue Swan records, which was founded by Will Swan, the epic guitarist to DGD, Sianvar, Royal Coda and much more. I was lucky enough to catch Hail the Sun at a DGD show and was blown away. Great f**kin band 🥰
This song/album has Jonny Craig as the lead vocalist, should check out a band called Slaves - i only want to see your star explode or drowning in my addiction, if you like the vocals
Okay after seeing everything you've checked out, ESPECIALLY DGD, I'm now a loyal subscriber! Since they're one of my favorite bands I wanna recommend my favorite songs from each album and also each vocalist. They're all in descending order starting with the oldest. Jonny Craig (first singer) And I Told Them I Invented Times New Roman The Robot With Human Hair Pt. 2 ½ Kurt Travis (second singer) Alex English Carl Barker Tilian Pearson (third and current) Honey Revenge Stroke God, Millionaire Inspire The Liars/Deception (close tie) Care/Suspended In This Disaster There also some great singles not part of albums. Summertime Gladness, Bloodwolf, Headhunter, AND a cover of Semi-Charmed Life where Tilian destroyed my entire life with his high notes... they're that incredible.
@@chrisliftstv I got carried away halfway through but I kept going 😂😂😂 Tilian era is my favorite though, so even if it's just in your free time for yourself you should check those out lol
Dude I loved this reaction! Another great song to check out from the same album is Its Safe to Say You Dig The Back Seat! Other great songs from great albums is Alex English off their 2008 self titled album (aka Death Star album feat. their second vocalist Kurt Travis.) Death of a Strawberry off the Instant Gratification album. Spooks off the Downtown Battle Mountian 2 album slaps as well. I have too much more to recommend but this is a start!
Yo you have some of the best reactions! I love your content, keep it up. You NEED to listen to the song "Erase me" by Make Them Suffer, if you haven't already. It is giving everyone the chills, you won't be disappointed XD

"I don't know how the vocalist sings so high, but so well." That would be the drugs.
