Dear Sam! Thank you so much that you are sharing your knowledge with the world! I have learnt so much from you! I have one question though. Why do we massage the zones in that particular order? I mean- if you randomly press different points all over the foot- won't you have the same effect? Or if you start from the heel instead of toes, and gradually go up- will it harm the patient? Just wondering if there is any specific idea behind that particular order? Much Love from Latvia!
Good question. No, there is no correct order. I personally focus on my routine because it covers all the reflexes of each foot. As you are palpating, you will discover what points to focus on. But there is no 'wrong' order. :)
A question Sam as a newbie! I have a hammer thumb which sometimes makes it hard to reach areas - any suggestions or does anyone else have this problem and how do they overcome it?
Great question Lynn. This is why learning both thumb and finger-walking is important. There is always room to adjust the technique. The therapist should not experience pain during the session - that is my personal viewpoint. So switch it up, try walking a different way and give the thumb a break. You will notice that I am constantly changing the hand that is walking and that is on purpose. The goal is always comfort and effectiveness. :)
5:20 I find this technique so thrilling to watch-my own feet start tingling when I see it! Is it related to vitaflex, or aimed at achieving something similar? Or convergent evolution? Or entirely unrelated? :) Thank you. Your videos are incredible. FL road trip dreams... 🏍
I was taught to do Reflexology dry, but moved to creams and now I use a thicker shea butter. I don't think it matters what you use as long as its comfortable for both you and the client. Oils tend to be rather goopey and can mess up technique if over-applied.
Lol next he'll be saying that reflexology is a cure for cancer: "Just press down on the little toe and hold for 30 seconds and your prostate cancer will melt away". 🤣
Very informative video, thanks for reflexology. I will subscribe to more videos.
So funny you mentioned asmr cus I’m watching this as a “asmr” video😋 get so relaxed by watching massages

Would you mind to demonstratr with camera on top where you begin spinal walk please
Feel free to watch the other videos on the channel, but I specifically start just above the calcaneus (pelvic guideline).
I was taught to use oils for reflexology but you use cream does it matter what you use?

What are you doing immediately after the spinal walk it is hard to tell
After the spinal walk, I move to the toes.
