I've been into VR since Google Cardboard, tried all types of headsets and I've owned a Quest 2 to play PCVR, the PSVR2 is by far the best VR experience I've ever had, for anyone thinking about getting one don't be put off by the negative rumours going around, the PSVR2 is the real deal
I wish they added 3D blu ray because i accumulated a large library of 3D movies for the first PSVR, and i just cant be bothered switching over from the PSVR2. Last game i played was RE4R, but its just been collecting dust since then.
I very rarely use mine now biggest issue was not making it back compat, not to mention they seem to be slowing down support :( , as a bit of kid though it’s amazing they just need to add more features Blu-ray 3d??
I do find irrespective of what people say though that psvr2 isn’t that much of a jump from the psvr1 - yes I know it’s clearer and there’s haptics and the controllers are better but the field of view isn’t much better than the first and the graphics aren’t that much of a jump bar perhaps re8 and horizons and a few others but when you compare the good psvr 1 games such as rush of blood , Astro bot, wipeout, torn , re7 etc to the rest of the games available in psvr2 it isn’t really that much of a jump as my priorities in vr is graphics and fov and roomscale - but I’ve good point about psvr2 is roomscale but when your tethered to a wire it can feel like a limited experience and if you damage the lead your in trouble as you can’t just swap it out . The sound again isn’t any better to the first either also the fact you need to purchase a ps5 as well to use it so that’s over a grand for both and the games aren’t cheap , the fact there won’t hardly be any further AAA titles in the immediate future and the fact Sony seems to be giving up on it with one of its major vr game producers closing and Sony are now going to allow it to be used on pc - even though this is partly a good thing , it’s also partly because they’re trying to get rid of the backlog of headsets they have left so it’s ain’t selling like they expected so that in itself could be a cause for concern concerning the future of the headset . I think they is going to have to be a significant price drop soon to get more people to buy it to increase the demand for games etc . Also a psvr 1 is dirt cheap and most it’s games are almost pennies now and it’s still an amazing experience so I would tell anyone to hold off buying a psvr2 for now and wait a year to see how it performs and hopefully by that time it’ll be a lot cheaper anyway but right now I don’t think what it’s offering justifies the expense unless over a grand doesn’t matter to you .
People who don’t like PSVR2 are not gamers I think. It’s not a general VR experience headset. I have other headsets but for VR gaming, PSVR2 is superior to standalone ones.
The great thing about gaming is it's subjective, what one person loves someone else may not. I like you, LOVE my PSVR2 but if others don't then can't hold it against them
The three things that are really bad about psvr2 are that the mura in dark scenes and the cable that limited the movement and the really small sweet spot, even a small movement of headset when playing cause blurriness. Also, Sony said psvr2 on pc doesn't support eye tracking and foveated rendering. Just why ?🫤
Been a ps player since day 1 & at 65 years young I just got my psvr2 and love it !
this is awesome to hear!!

The quest 2 is like half the price and has more games + doesn’t require a console…
Crappier games, worse lookin games, unoptimised too. @@las549
It's fantastic isn't it.
@@gamertagstories Certainly is mate, looking forward to some great releases this year.
