Looking forward to you covering My Name Is Khan (2010). My mother introduced it to me as a kid as I'm on the autism spectrum.
The worst part about a Dunki is that the relatives of the person wouldn't even know if the person reached there or not. They would assume their whole lives that that person is ok and alive
18:25 agog is a real english word. It means very eager or curious to see/hear something. Quite a common word actually. It used to feature a lot in older english novels
And I'm the second. Thanks Ollie. I loved your reactions.
People who don't have much money.... don't get a travel visa... that's why this is shown.
Ayy! I'm actually first for once. Thank you notifications
48:12 Well its hard to get visa on Indian passport back then. You see developed countries dont like giving visas to people from developing nations unless they come as brain drain to help their economy. So its hard to apply for tourist visa as well since you have to do it months back. Also to get a visa to the US or UK you need certain amount of money in your bank account only then they allow. Its actually harder to get a US visa. They are quite particular about things even you have to give them all your social media accounts you might have had in the last 5 years (security concerns). Anyway vicky kaushal character came from a poor background without much social capital. He didnt have proper access to resources and hardly understood visa rukes. Since everyone in that village goes on a students visa he thought that's the easiest way.
In this regard I think Canada and Australia have been the most welcoming nations. Lot of these people from punjab migrated to Canada and settled there back then in the 80s and 90s. Thats why you would today see a lot of punjabi or people from Indian diaspora in Canada
Great review, young man. I recently watched your reaction to The Wizard of Oz. Could you please react to the 1954 version of A Star is Born starring Judy Garland and James Mason. It’s a phenomenal film.
