Just picked up the SA10 from Best Buy. It was an open box for $234.99. I love this integrated Amp. The only con is the buttons lettering is hard to see
Enjoyed this review and strongly considering this SA10. Would you say that operating this as a preamp with another more powerful amplifier would get you closer to the SA30 sound and low end control? Or is the SA30 built with better components overall?
The sa 30 is a big step up in performance over the sa10 , the sa30 is a G class amplifier the best of class A and B merged together for the best performance and sound . Depending on what amp you were going to run with the sa10 you may get you close to the sa 30 but how close again depends on the power amp , and don't forget the sa30 has a streamer built into it also
My experience with the SA10 has led me to believe that its preamp section is very good but the power amp is not so good. It's possible that my unit is defective though as I bought it used. I am currently using it as a preamp with an old Harman Kardon 100 watt solid state receiver as the power amp. The sound is just better at all volumes with this setup, and there is much less distortion at higher volumes. I have experimented with high sensitivity Tekton speakers and some less sensitive Polk speakers.

I've had the SA10 for a year now, love it! The internal DAC is wonderful
It really is!
The title is misspelt. Integrated. Not "inteRgrated"
I’ve got an old Sony FB930R 80wpc looking at a better quality amp like this it would be driving wharfdale 12:1s
Have you tried using a phono pre amp with the SA10?
