How This Crossword Maker Blends Genres for Clues | The New Yorker
I appreciate these crossword and cryptic puzzle videos. Thank you.
I hoped he'd make a reference to Frank Ocean with the Blonde clue 😢
Same!!!
Hi, editor of the video here! Actually, he did! It didn't make the final cut, though. In the raw footage, he says that if this hypothetical puzzle he was creating lacked culture clues, he would've clued this as, "2016 Frank Ocean album." But he decided that he probably wouldn't have used that clue because, "I probably would have enough culture in a puzzle to not need that." Anyway, that's a long explanation which is ultimately why it didn't make the cut. All that to say, don't worry! He didn't let you down.
@@christopherhwisukim4709 Ah, good to hear! Still enjoyed his way of thinking nonetheless. I love this crossword series.
@@christopherhwisukim4709 Haha thank you, Chris! These videos are fantastic - keep them up!!
Question: What do you get when you cross: The Atlantic Ocean . . . with . . . The Titanic?
Answer: About Half Way
This was TITANIC! LOL saw this vid in an ad break in the PCH app (& usually don't watch things there nor find this smth fun, lol) & it actually makes me want to create my own trivia puzzles too! Any idea what the program mentioned is? How does one go about looking for "crossword-maker" jobs anyways? xD
Interview him more! I loved this!
