I own this. If you put a quick release on it you don’t need to recalibrate putting your camera back on. The tracking is only so so in low light. It’s really great for solo shooters.
Have you tried the tracking feature while someone else is holding it? ( I kept watching and found my answer)
This video is FIRE! I just bought this, waiting for it to arrive. I'll be using it with a SONY FX3 and the brand new 16-35 GM....I hope it's not too heavy.

Thx Sean! Ya, the previous one they sent me for my phone I shot all solo... It was a bit harder - and riskier with the MT2 setup since it is heavier and I had more expensive gear involved. Still, it is awesome to bust out and use when I want to really up the quality!
I like your video style. It might take longer to grow since its not to the point but I think you'll have a more dedicated audience.
It would be great if the AI sensor of this gimbal could track objects
Like dji raveneye, we chose the subject or person or objects and the gimbal followed it
It can be done if you download their app and use your phone as the camera, but as far as using it with a non-cell phone camera... maybe if out mount your phone atop your big camera and just use it as a tracking assistant.... something to test!
I just came across your channel when looking for a e-scooter helmet. Sure wish I had come across it before buying the Hoheim for just my GoPro . I could have had a 3 in 1:Phone, camera and GoPro. Enjoyed this video and the info.

LIKE. Of the many reviews of this model, nobody has mentioned if the AI tracker can accept a motion to start/end recording as well as start/end tracking. Since the gimbal can control the compatible camera via bluetooth or cable, I thought maybe a gesture might be passed from the AI tracker through the gimbal to the camera shutter/record button. Or maybe that is only available with the phone camera via the Hohem Joy app,
I bought one today. It is good, but it is making a lot of noice from the internal fans I assume.
Nice, I don't think there are fans in the gimbal though...
@@ThatsGinterEV I did talk to Hohem regarding that and realized it’s the motors that are making the sound.
I’m using a GoPro on my MT2 and it’s too light weight for all the motors to work.
They did advice me to reduce the motor speed by longing pressing M.
And now my camera can’t detect any noice from my gimbal
I have the Sony A 6400 and a SEL24F14 GM and I can't get my Gimbal balanced out with the camera,unless I push the release plate that you mount your camera on so far that it presses against the body of the lens, which I don't want.
Furthermore the camera has to be adjusted so far back, that it is outside the L-bracket.
A part of me thinks I am too stupid, but another part of me just thinks the MT2 is a bad product and just works for small lenses with a heavier body. Any advice?
Ohhh G Master, sweet glass! I know the MT2 has a maximum payload capacity of 1200 grams, so check that first, but ya…that lens is for full frame and it just might be too front heavy for the motors. I’d have to try balancing a larger lens later to confirm though.

It can track objects as well, but less reliable.
I don't think the MT2 can track objects unless a phone is mounted to it? The M6 phone version of this gimbal can if you use the Hohem app (I have another video on that model as well showing it in action). ua-cam.com/video/63zknbduxHk/v-deo.html
If you're doing a review for anyone who wants to use this for vloggin, you're doing it right, congratulations. But for anyone working as a videomaker or filmmaker, something EXTREMELY important is missing for anyone who won't be recording themselves. How to enable face tracking for other people? are you behind the gimbal so you have to keep asking people every time to make the gesture to activate face tracking? this is kind of ridiculous if that's the case, there should be an option to do this for those who are going to record events or other things where you can't keep asking people to move their hand to activate face tracking.
Thx, and totally agree with you! Skilled gimbal work without AI tracking is still a thing that needs to be worked on...

Gimbals? I think only one, and not even from riding, I literally just dropped it 😅.

I'm sorry to hear this, why does it not work with the Action 4? It says should work with any action camera. The tracking is independent of software interoperability, so I'm guessing it's a mounting or weight/balance issue?
