Kiitos Aleksi! You did so much research for this - very helpful👍
Glad it was helpful!
Its nice that I watched this video because I will be staying here for a while. I will try the that. Kiitos
Good stuff!
Great stuff. Thanks for the video. Can you do more videos related to finance ?
Can you give an example?
@@AleksiHimself Perhaps you cover a Finnish investment company such as Mandatum Life
Nice video, I actually know some Finnish people who use Nordnet to invest their money. Very known in all the Nordics too. :P
Good stuff! 😃🙌
Thanks for guidance can I invest from India ?
Super useful stuff as always! I'm prolly gonna soon start investing. Btw idk if you have heard this before, but you remind of Seth Macfarlane. 😎💯
Good stuff! I think someone has said that before! 😎💯
Thank you! Very useful video. Can you make a video about Equity savings account on Nordnet please?
The same principles apply as shown in this video, except that you can only buy individual stocks.
Thanks a lot! About the OST acount, can I buy indexes there or only in AOT?
Only in AOT
@@AleksiHimself Thanks!
I got respect for you aleksi i wont give second thoughts investing this firm i will look into it
Good stuff. Note that this is an investment platform, I wasn't recommending to invest into the company directly, even though it's possible.
Hey Aleksi, can you make a video about the different between investing with bank vs investment company such as Nordnet or Mandatum Life….etc
The main benefit of an external platform (like NordNet) is that you do not need to worry if you ever decide to switch banks. Banks may offer cheaper fees. It's also possible to transfer assets.
For example. I invest using my bank (OP) but I also use other platforms.
Can you explain what kind of fees both banks and other platforms take?
Hi dude . I want to ask you about something. I have said in previous videos that certificates obtained from outside Finland are not recognized. Well, I have a project manager certificate that I studied in a program for Google. Is a certificate of this type recognized or not? Thanks
That only applies for jobs that are regulated, like health care jobs. There is no regulation for project management jobs and the employer will decide if you're qualified or not.
Hey Aleksi, any feedback from S-pankki, do they have index funds ?
They do, but I think they are not that good. I recommend a service called NordNet. I have a video of that.
@@AleksiHimselfOk, Kiitos paljon vastauksestasi!
Damn, nice video! Was thinking a few days ago that I should contact you for some tips on this topic...Still going to ask, do you have any website or book recommendations to get clued up about investing?
Thanks! There is so much content on UA-cam nowadays. I think searching "Basics of investing_" on UA-cam gets you started. No financial advice but index funds are an easy, less risky way to get started.
Do video about Finland joining NATO please.
US expat living in Latvia hoping to one day live in Finland. Any reason for not investing in Finland for portfolio, I only have individual stocks in the US since its a big mess for tax reasons to buy ETFs
Good stuff! 😃🙌
I was going to open an account in Nordnet and it asks if I am a citizen of Finland or from another country. If I select from another country, it asks a lot of other info like tax documents, residence certificate etc from my home country. I want to do the trading from Finland.
Will I select citizen of Finland as I have everything available in Finland except the citizenship? Currently I am in A work permit.
The reason they ask those things is that they are legally required to know their customers. I do not recommend to choose Finnish citizen if you are not. That is probably against their terms of service and can result in banning your account.
@@AleksiHimself ok I will follow that. Thanks.
@@shadmanjahangir9527 I know it's probably a hassle but that's just how the regulations work and I think you just need to do it once.
Hi Aleksi thank you for the informations. Would be nice to have more content about this topics.
Like
=> what other’s companies that have same service ( I know this one u are doing with Nordnet but you can reach out to others if there is.
=> how you do you build your investment wallet ( like how you choose)
=> what are the types of investments that are available. Like bonds, ETF, Stocks etc.. what are the good and bad part about them, ex how much fees etc..
This kind of subject would be great. 👌🏾
Hi Renata. I think Nordnet is the only company but Finnish banks (like OP, Nordea, Danske Bank etc.) offer these too. For example, I use OP's investment services.
I personally prefer index funds because they offer diversification and low cost.
I think all of those are available in Finland.
You can watch this video ua-cam.com/video/ZqsFUeuDX2o/v-deo.html
@@AleksiHimself do you think 🤔 it is smarter to invest with bank’s own investments services or with specialized investment companies which as Nordnet. I hear that specialized investment company would be much better. But plz I’d like to hear from you.
@@othman5106 I think it comes down to two things:
- Can your bank provide the type of investing you are looking for?
- Will you remain as a customer of that bank long-term? If you switch banks, you may have to either sell your assets or keep paying customer fees (if any)
I use my OP banks services but also NordNet.
Nordnet vs eToro. Which is better?
Depends on what you want to use it for. eToro probably has cheaper fees but you have to manually report to Vero.
But unfortunately I can't use Nordnet when I am in my country which isn't Nordic part T_T
Are you just on holidays or did you move out of Finland?
Neither just holiday nor move to Finland for so long right now. But, I wish I can start do invest with use Nordnet from now, because I have plan for move to Finland later (I ain't sure when I can move there)
fine
Good stuff! 😃🙌
I opened an account last year with Nordnet but I couldn't go any further because its only in Finnish language and I can't trust google translate for its not accurate 😒
I totally understand. Their mobile app is now in English, maybe that will help. I'd say Google translate is about 90% accurate.
@@AleksiHimself thanks a lot for the work you are doing here on yt, you helping a lot of people🙌
Google Translate is actually quite accurate even in Finnish 🇫🇮
@@LeSatan yes it’s ok to some extend, but when handling finances i want to understand what I am doing 💯
Ur content is always the best thank u
how to sell fund after we make deposit at first time 120 euro
I don't understand the question. Can you elaborate more?
@@AleksiHimself after we deposit to nordnet and bought a fund already.
how can i sell those funds and return it in cash?
9.15 on your video
You can sell it in the same way as you bought. Then make a withdraw.
Question do you think the Russia vs Ukraine war is changing Finland?
To some extent yes.
