Hi Miller! Nope it's not. It was oil that was accumulated near the ignition coils recessed area from the leaking valvetronic gasket. That was leaking too! So far so good till this day haha. Thanks for the subscription! 🙇♂️
I have the same issue till it came out “DRIVETRAIN”. And MY ECU was change 1 year back brand new, and a new spark plug. Now then i realise it was a gasket issue. But sad hear a bubbling sound on my exhaust plus my exhaust is stock not sure what would be the issue😢
@@NETTNETTCLUBVIDEOs hi so far not yet as I’m too busy with work it’s been a week on the carpark without doing nothing. As I’ll be back in SG on 2 April
Hi dear, I have the exact same engine as yours 👍 I hope you can help me. I want a picture oil pressure control valve Because I don't know its location and it's broken for me
Hi Jerseys! I'm on Ron 97 and getting around 550km for a full 70 litres tank. Usually works out to slightly lower than 8km per litre. You're on a 523i as well? 2.5 or 3.0?
Hi AccordJDM! BMWs if maintained properly is just as reliable as any other car in the market. It has been a wonderful 3 years of ownership. Never left me stranded and has been to quite a few places :)
Hi, did you apply any silicone between the valve cover and engine to help with sealing or you placed the valve cover directly on the engine?
@slowjamexperience.1352 hi. No I didn't use any silicone.
Was the CCV Diaphram Torn? That was a lot of oil out @10:24 ! Subscribed for the positive attitude!

Hi. Sorry to hear that. Have you run a scan on the car? What are the codes?

Hello! I finally managed to replace the valve cover gasket but got smoke just as you. Which one is the breather hose you mention in the end?
Hi Augustin! The breather hose is the one at the back of the engine. It is near the windshield wiper.
@@NETTNETTCLUBVIDEOs I guess it is not the one that connects directly to the valve cover, right?
It seems that you are struggling to get a few screws back, how can you remove some parts on the way?
Hi Charles. Which part is that?
I mean back screws(e10), do you think the flexible wrench will work or need remove some parts in windshield area? Thanks
@@charlesliu5082 will need the flexible wrench and also the removal of windshield part. It'll make the job much easier.

Hi Gooorg. Which one are you referring to?
my 528i last mth had the same changed the whole Valve Cover & Gasket
$850.00 whole day at workshop
Hi Danny! Yeah that's a lot of work 😅
$850? Where?
Hi Danny. Why did you have to change both the value cover and gasket? Isn't value cover rarely has problem?
@@mizgana They quoted me 1500, is 850 a good price? How much should it cost?
what’s your fuel consumption on your 523i? RON 95 or 97?

@@NETTNETTCLUBVIDEOs I am considering between a 316i 3series or 523i but seems like the 523i FC is quite high.. thanks!
@@jerseyspatches6420 316i will definitely be more efficient in that sense. Size and comfort also will have difference though.

Almost bought this model... Simply beautiful to look and drive but my mechanic told me to stay away from BMW lol....

when are you tuning it?
Hi Ryan. You can any recommendations?

Do you have to disconnect the battery to change valve cover gasket
Hi Ali! I disconnected it just in case :)
@@NETTNETTCLUBVIDEOs but you don’t have to do you ?
@@AliAbbas-pb7eo I believe it is safer to do so and its really easy to disconnect your battery.
@@NETTNETTCLUBVIDEOs once I remove the injectors do I put them back in the same way
@@AliAbbas-pb7eo yes.
is that glue at 11:10?
Hi Agustin. It is actually gasket sealant. It is to keep the gasket in place when I attach the valve cover back to the engine.
good job :D
Thanks Pemek00!
Not gasket problem, plastic cover is problem ,just put aluminum
Yo that’s the valve cover. Just buy the whole thing.
