So true and good! I struggle with making a portrait the wrong way and not knowing what's "off" about it. Then I look at it in a mirror. Ugh. The structure is all wrong. It looks skewed.
Hey Beth, don't lose hope 🙂it takes time to develop the ability to see and draw anything accurately. It's easier to start with simple, basic shapes (like a sphere and a cylinder) so that you can get some victories and build confidence. That will help you see the basic shapes for what they are, not think of them as a portrait 😊are you looking into the Evolve program? We teach proportional drawing so that all of our students can draw very accurately from life ~ Daniel
