I'm not a Aston Villa fan, but for some reason I had this video when I was a kid, a I used to watch it Quite alot. Thankyou for putting this on UA-cam brought back some good memories.
I had loads. From Coventry and like Liverpool too so had most them videos. I also had Man City 89/90,90/91. Notts forest 88/89, Everton 88/89,89/90. Luton Town 88/89. Norwich City 90/91. And goals galore 88/89 & saves galore 89/90. What can I say I love football lol
Hey Liam, I was 21 and lived in Surrey at the time. Went to every home game and most away games that season, and the following one too. I live in Canada now and the last game at home was in 2010 when beat Everton 1-0, Luke Moore was the scorer.
Everton fan here. This was my first season following football, I had the Race for the Championship and Goals/Saves Galore videos of this season. Still do, actually. Great to see some old childhood memories. I'm 40 years old now but I still remember a lot of these games/goals. I've got to say, playing a 6ft 4in left winger in Ormondroyd really paid off despite being slightly unorthodox. Good luck to you, I think you've got a good manager in Gerrard.
Adore the Chris Price goal at Arsenal. Cascarino muddles about for what seems like an eternity before the slip ball. Only bettered in 93 with a late Andy Townsend winner after Bosnich had saved an Ian Wright pen.
Such fond memories of this great season!! Unforgettable home win v Everton a highlight!!I am sure if Taylor had stayed we would have won the title with in two seasons of this!!! UTV
Very fond memories of this great season. The turning point seemed to be when Platty missed that penalty at home to Wimbledon. Then that wretched thing they call doubt sneaked in meaning there'd be no repeat of the once in a lifetime 1980-81 glory.
Ha, Ian Olney had a few goals in him but alas wasn't championship winning material. Comparing him to a lot of youth scheme striker since Darren Byfield, Richard Walker, the Moore brothers and the Fonz, Olney did okay.

Me too. I'm a Norwich fan, but picked this up from Woolwoths a year after is release. Villa a great team that year.

Some things never change. No win in the opening 4 games. Play Spurs. First win.

Great Memories once again - Cheers VB Appreciated .
My pleasure pal.
that derby game at home was the turning point for the season
Wat a great player Nigel Spink was he is a villa legend
Absolutely Garth, I was just thinking the same.
If he had`ve played for a more "fashionable side", Spink would have been an England regular.
Villa Boy, great work with all these videos! Have you got footage of Villa v Basel in the interfinal of 2001?
Cheers Stephen i will have a look.
I'll never forget that season played Everton away on me 18 birthday wot a piss up
Every team home and away trim was awesome.
Hate to be harsh but if only Sheringham was bought instead from Millwall perhaps...
Cascarino was a massive mistake we should have brought them both or just stuck with the excellent Ian Olney.

Ian Onley was top drawer playing up top on his own he did a hell of a lot more than ok.
Taylor talked sense.
Wow! love it
Villa have been shit ever since. But this was a great side.
The runners up from 92/93 and the side that one the league cup in 94 and 96. Were they as "shit"?
